John Deere 4052R Cab,, Deere 855D UTV, Z920A Zero Turn Mower and assorted implements
I recently purchased a 2015 4052R Cab....
I was trying out the climate controls (heat). Although it was ok, it didn't get really too warm. Definitely not going to clear snow wearing a tee shirt and shorts!
For you folks who own these tractors...especially those who live in the northern tier of the US (and especially the New England area), how warm does your cab get...and, how cool with the AC?

My 4066R with the cab heats quite nicely once the coolant warms a bit. I'm in SE Minnesota so I think its a pretty good test. Most days I have to turn down the heat control to be comfortable. But when its below zero it take the heater's full output. Since my tractor is in an unheated pole shed it takes a while for the coolant to warm enough for good heat output. With respect to cooling, I am very satisfied.

I still wish Deere would give us a window that could open to allow some fresh air on days that its not hot enough for the AC but too hot given all of the glass. Maybe we will see something with the next 4R series models.

Thanks for the response!
Yeah, I'd like a opening window too...the rear window opens...ever try that?

I'm much further north than you and I can easily be into a sweat wearing a tee covered by a flannel work shirt in my JD. If the tractor had a vent window I would absolutely have it open but I don't open the rear window because of the noise. Wearing a winter jacket in that small cab drives me crazy but you need that hot cab to keep the windows clear of blowing snow as well as keeping the fogging down to a dull roar.
At least down in Mass with a much larger framed NH machine, my winter jacket gets dropped on the raised floor behind the seat.

As for the summer temps in both fish bowls, I've turned down the blower speed many times from being too cold. The NH does not cool like it did when it was new back in 95 but it still does OK when it has a full charge of refrigerant.

Whomever had my JD before me didn't know what a cabin air filter was nor did they ever find it. It was disgusting and I'm shocked any air at all passed thru it. If anyone is having problems with being too cold in the winter or poor AC in the summer that's where I'd be looking first. Also be sure the radiator and condenser are kept clean and don't forget you always blow them out from the fan side out to the grill.

Good point about the noise!!
Come warm weather, I'll probably try out opening the rear window. My only implements (beside the 3PH snow blower) are a flail mower and a wood chipper. Mowing the field with the mower might get pretty dusty in the cab...I wear sound protection, so the noise won't bother me, but the dust might.
My previous tractor (4520) had a Curtis Cab and the doors had sliding windows...or, the doors could be removed entirely.
Obviously, the wood chipper use doesn't require climate control, since I'm not in the cab
Like you, I'd like a vent window since I am a smoker...and, I agree...all that glass will make for a rather hot interior even on moderate days...

Id never run a mower with the rear window set up in venting mode. Wayyyy tooooo much debris floating around. Just look at the rear of any tractor after any amount of mowing and ask yourself if you want to be covered in that? Me? NFW. My allergies would have me going crazy. I'll just turn down the fan or adjust the temperature dial a little.

I don't have a rear window to open, as it is open station. I also don't have a problem with dust from my brush hog or rear finish mower.
I have allergies too, but mowing is pretty much dust free.. maybe it is a problem with how dust blows around a cab tractor.
And maybe dust is different in Maine from WI dust.. ;)

So WI weeds don't leave a lot a debris on the rear of the tractor? That's new. Both my Mass debris and Maine debris piles up and it can't be only a John Deere issue because the New Holland 4835 has the same problem.
Maybe you go much faster or its a voter registration thing. LOL

We just dig up votes in WI.. whatever works..

Depends on what one is mowing...grasses, little dust. Milkweeds...much dust.
When I had my 4400 (2012-2014 in Vermont...couple more years in PA), I mowed the field with both a finishing mower and a rotary cutter. The grassy sections, very little stuff of the tractor's grill...the weedy stuff, like milkweed...the grills got covered pretty quickly. I kept a 2" paint brush with the bristles cut down (makes them stiffer) to clean the fuzzy stuff off the grills when needed.
Don't know why, but I never had as much problem with the 4520, but I was using a flail mower then
