I'd look for the subject of "Public Health" to get a serious revisitation in the coming days, months, and years.

Probably long overdue.

In the U.S. we got 22,000 flu deaths VS 329,000 COVID deaths so far this year. That's only 15 times more deaths, so, yep it's just like the flu. You just keep telling yourself that. And keep spreading that false information because it does everyone so much good to know your truth VS the facts from the CDC.

Why do people keep saying that it's just like the flu? It's not, and you look foolish saying it is.

The university cited higher fatalities to undergrads from flu than Covid but I can't find the source...

Maybe someone can comment?

In some ways it does seem those with advancing years have more problems with Covid but it could be because many seniors have flu shots?

I just go to work and home to take care of mom... only deviation is weekly 6am grocery stop.

A tennant clogged the upper sewer lateral causing sewage to run down the sidewalk... City gave me immediate notice as owner.

Could not get anyone out for love or money including all the Angie's List and Diamond Certified and Yellow Pages.. the few that did respond said the no longer offer this service...

So I got out my cable machine and cleared it...

Wanted to check inside plumbing and tenant refused entry saying I would need to have a clear COVID test.

She is the one that called the city after I told her I was still trying to find a rooter company...

You can't make this stuff up... not to mention non payment of rent is no longer grounds for eviction.

I sent it out today to illustrate how false the statement is that flu kills just as many. It was false in May and now it's 10X false in December.

Last year about 34,000 people died of flu in the U.S.

This year, 329,000+ died of COVID in the U.S.

I dont agree that all 329,000 died from Covid. I think all 329,000 died from either Covid alone, or a disease that killed them while they were Covid positive. Could be 50,000 or it could be 250,000.
They have to stop saying everyone that died WITH the Covid virus died FROM the Covid virus.

They symptoms are very similar, though.

Medically, I've been told there are financial benefits for hospitals when death is COVID related...

That said ICU here are full in many areas and taking a toll on medical staff...

One front line Doc lost it when many of his critical patients traced back to Thanksgiving...

Thats why I am suspicious of the 329,000. This virus is a bank account stuffing boondoggle for hospitals.
Look at what businesses are allowed to remain open, the huge big box stores. Football being played by the big college programs and NFL....MONEY!
The other thing is that we are an unhealthy society. Lots of obesity and diabetes. That contributes to the aforementioned loading of hospitals, too. Covid hospitalizes the obese and diabetic.

He then developed amyloidosis which built up proteins in his organs and stopped them from functioning.
He then developed congestive heart failure because those organs couldn't clear fluid from his lungs.
He died.

Official cause of death was congestive heart failure.

The cancer killed him. We all know that. He wouldn't have had the other conditions were it not for the cancer.

The point I'm trying to make is this:

COVID causes people to develop symptoms. Some of those symptoms kill them. We all know that they wouldn't have had heart failure, lung damage, pneumonia, etc... if they wouldn't have caught COVID in the first place.

I don't mean to label people as deniers for saying the numbers aren't correct, but man, it's pretty obvious COVID is causing these deaths.

I DO agree it’s worse than the flu, but it will be under control and hopefully the cause of Covid death policies will be changed to a more realistic, less profit motivated level.

OK, but what about when they go in to the hospital, due to a car crash and found to be positive for covid and then dies due to injuries fro the crash, and then listed as a covid death?

I has been proven to have happened last summer......

If it happened once, how many others are incorrectly listed?
