I see that.. I looked them up after reading them here. Some reviews are good, and some mixed.
A 90+ cc saw including bar and chain for around $500.00 is un heard of in other brands.

It's so tempting. And then you get one and hope it doesn't end up like a lot of the other junk store tools you bought and let you down at the most inconvenient time, just to save a buck. And you stare at it and shake your head.... "I should have known better."

I just received my Joncutter g5800 a week ago, changed the rim sprocket to run the bars and chains I have for my other two Huskies and finished up a downed tree my husky's couldn't and man, saw is a beast. I am a bit shocked, but it works as I have read on forestry forums and arboriste site.

I have a 15 year old husky 350 that has been a good saw even though they where known to have parts issues, Also have a 572 xp that runs strong I got for a few slab ideas I had. Also have a less than a year old 550xp Mark 2 that has been a pos right from the dealer, has spent total of 4 months in their shop (warranty, E&E equipment Azle TX) and they haven't addressed the problem correctly yet! at this point I wouldn't take them a bicycle for repair. Going to give another warranty service a try and hopefully they are on the ball and know their equipment.

I think thus far, finding a good saw shop is as hard as getting a good saw, I should have known the 550 had troubles since the complaints are easy to find, I suppose when you have to make a "mark2" you had enough issues to clarify a name change idk

I paid $160 from US dealer on Ebay for the joncutter and compared to the 550 it runs away. Looks alomost identical to my 350 and some 450's I have seen,,clone? No doubt

That sounds like the stihl chainsaws from VA plant. Read the tag. Assembled with foreign and domestic parts.

So where do think all the Stihl saw parts come from that gets assembled in VA? Hard to see how quality can be maintained when the parts come from here there and everywhere on anything........

yep, you can pay $400+and hope it all works out, Or you can add some to that $400.00 and pretty much know what you're getting

I have a 372 XP and an older rancher 55. I really don't want to run something heavier than the 372

Measure once cut twice, measure twice cut once.

Buy cheap buy twice, buy quality buy once.

Joncutter is a clone of Zenoah

I bought jc 3800 clone 38cc to see how it compared to my redmax zenoah 3800 in past I had. So far great little $99 saw. Just like it's $279 oem one was. Just trim saws for me.

It's amazing to me people will trip over a dollar to pick up a dime. To me it's wasting time, money, and sanity to deal with these cheap knock off. Time is my most valuable asset, if something costs me down time...I move on from that brand permanently. I like stuff that is just as good 20 years later as it was on day one. If one of these saws breaks, just throw away the entire thing and buy a new one...it's the new model.

Price point selling is why China can do what they do.
