At this stage I think all team press releases have to be taken with a bit more than a grain of salt...Reid may be making this kind of statement just to get the opposition licking its chops...but in reality there is no way he would put Mahomes in a position where he would be more vulnerable to further injury and risk missing the big game in Tampa should they prevail Sunday...
Obviously it's the execution that wins or loses games but the preparation often sets the game plan...anything a team can do to have the opposition prepare for something that isn't going to happen anyway is a common strategy...until the first whistle blows it's 98.9% a mind game...

Resting the A team when there is virtually nothing to gain is a no brainer and would be entirely expected...even for a #1 seed with a bye...it's actually a benefit giving the B team game experience without risk...

You can bet the Bills are preparing for both Mahomes and Henne regardless...especially if their defensive game plan includes extra pressure on the QB...

Anyone who game prepped for Maholmes is already pretty much prepped for anything Henne could dream to bring to the game. Maholmes may be the most well rounded Q in the business. Henne would make virtually every facet of the game easier for the Bills defense.

Henne was adequate, but on that last 13-14 yard run he scampered for, he did slide short of the stick and actually created a 4th & inches situation.

Henne did not slide short of the stick, he went for it. Cannot fault him for putting it all out there. Gutsy.

Maholmes wont make that mistake.
On edit: I think I know what youre saying. You think I meant he did a feet first slide-like Brady would. I know he went head first, but he also slid after contact with the ground, but he slid head first coming up short.

I'm not sure what is going on...it could be bad information or it is possible the NFL is playing musical chairs again (like they did switching this year's game at Tampa from originally in LA)...but this site NBC sports is showing that the Super Bowl (LVII) will be back in Tampa in two years instead of being in Arizona where other sites are still reporting it is to be held...if it's recent decision to move the game it could be that those sites have not been updated...or it's a mistake on the part of NBC sports ???...the dateline on the page linked below is Jan 19, 2021...

It's no different than any other fan poll...and FYI the story says "according to CBS sports" not according to twitter...and regardless it is as viable as any other poll...A key factor is that it is recent it's not using old data...
