Guys I think the dealers are pulling the wool over our eyes.... the link below shows why metal snow plows are a waste of money. apparently these come in multiple sizes, this is a 50 inch model

Snow Plowing JD with TV Box

on a serious note, I hope everyone who is there is doing the best they can.

Remember to remove TV first though.

LOL! My buddy at work strapped a plastic banquet table to his bucket and used it as a snow pusher! He said it worked great and he can still use the table for parties and such.

Think he might have touch of cabin fever.

If I have to buy a new TV every storm to get a box to use, that’s going to get expensive...
....and my house is going to look like a sport’s bar.

But a sheet of plywood, much cheaper.

Duct tape. Lots of duct tape. Can give you a water resistant edge. Also wrap tape around a top flap that is cut off cleanly then taped to the bottom, and you have a nice wear edge. Eventually the box does crumble. I'll have to calculate the ROI--a metal blade vs a new TV for each freak storm. :D

I feel an urge to do something similar as I woke up this morning to find a pretty solid 3 inches of snow covering most everything here in Northern Alabama ......and I'm not exactly happy about it.

If it's still there tomorrow, I'm thinking it will be getting pushed off the driveway :smiley_aafz:-- even if it takes longer to get the tractor out and warmed up than it will to move the snow with the tractor..... :mur:

..and if I do end up doing that it'll be the first time I've used a tractor for snow removal since moving to Alabama ~14 years ago (snow usually doesn't last the day when it falls around here, but this one just may). 0218210808.jpg
