I have an M7060HDC and have lost the pins in the 3 point telescoping stabilizer bars. I'd like to replace them with some big spring clip pins in stead of the drop-in/cotter pin type that came with it. Anybody know of the diameter/length needed, or even better a source for some pins that'll fit?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure on the size, but my favorite place is McMaster Carr...

If you don't want the std Kubota parts, go to your bolt stash and find a bolt that mates well with the hole. Also measure the O.D. of the telescoping bars. There's a fair chance that other mfrs pins (spring loaded) for the same purpose will work . My MF 2660 clips have heavy pins that go through the stabilizer bars and then spring loaded clasps that snap down over the bars as keepers once you are happy with the position. Those fit many models of Massey tractors. Take your bolt and measurements and saunter in to a couple of other brand dealers. You'll probably find some substitutes.

What are you doing that causes the pins to be lost? I've had two different tractors out here for almost 40 years and never lost a stabilizer pin. Mine are the standard pin with a hair pin keeper.

Drop the pin down from the top and pull the hair pin ALL the way thru.

OK - I just now pulled the pin on one of my stabilizer bars. It's 1/2" in diameter and 3" long from the end to the welded on washer. The "hair pin" hole is hard to see - there on the end.

Far more likely to be 12mm than 1/2". There's very little on that tractor chassis thats not metric. 1/2" may be too big for the holes in the bars.

Close enough for government work.., like I said , go to your bolts stash and find one of known size that fits. Go from there. Whatever is used should be pretty hard steel as those things can take quite a beating, esp when using heavier implements that bounce from side to side (like my 7ft Bush Hog does.)

Perfect! Thanks for measuring them oosik! My tractor is up on my farm and I couldn't get to it right now to get a measurement. What am I doing that's causing these pins to be lost?... Aging! :) I don't know how many times I've laid the pin on the top of the tire or somewhere on the 3 point or implement and driven away. Usually remember it and can backtrack and find it, but not always ;).

These pins are $20 each at a kubota dealer. I Found these 12mmX80mm (.47"x3.12") on Amazon, 2 for $11.99. Just ordered them so haven't tried them yet, will let you know.
