Why would they spend trillions of dollars to send energy back to earth when the same sun that shines on the moon shines on the earth?

I've also seen plenty of SCI-FI movies where that laser goes off by a few mm and carves up some building next door. :laughing:

Yep. Anything that is in non-synchronous orbit with a perigee below that of the top end of the cable will eventually hit the cable.

Star link satellites come to mind. Thousands of them.

Ok. Not sure I understand but it isn’t important.

I’ve traveled in many many helicopters and I just have my preconceived idea of what is a helicopter.

The helicopter/drone cost $80 million. There are unlimited ways to spend money.
