The ONLY MOVIE that I ever walked out of the theatre on, was "Coming To America"
Years ago I was piloting an aircraft through the midwest. Severe weather closed in, and flying became very hazardous. I made an unscheduled landing at an airport in a tiny midwest town to wait it out.

Days later, me and my passenger were still weathered in. We were about as bored as you can get, so we decided to go to the only theatre in town. It was showing "King Solomon's Mines" starring Richard Chamberlain.

This the only movie I (we) ever walked out of, and we left even though we had absolutely nothing else we could possibly due to pass the time. The movie was that bad.

From Wikipedia:

King Solomon's Mines holds a 13% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 3.7/10.[9] On Metacritic the film has a weighted average score of 29 out of 100, based on 5 critics, indicating "generally unfavorable reviews".

I think King Solomons Mine was an attempt to cash in on the Indian Jones type movies. Yeah that movie didn’t cut it, I think I’ve seen just bits and pieces of it.

Just watched the 1950 original Father Of The Bride.

Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor.

Very good.

Do you get the "Movies!" channel on OTA TV? That movie has been on that channel recently, so I set my DVR to record it, per your recommendation.

I like the link to Trading Places in Coming to America.

No. I believe it was on the Turner Classic Movies channel on my TV.

Hope you like the movie. Made my wife tear up.

Spencer Tracy is always great and Elizabeth Taylor is - well - very young.

Man, 13% on Rotten Tomatoes is just plain bad. :ROFLMAO:

I think I've seen parts of that movie on TV and had to turn it off.

I read where it was supposed to be a parody...a comedy take off of Indiana Jones, and it failed miserably. There are two previous versions; I saw the 1950 version, and it was good, and typical of the time. Haven't seen the 1930's version.
