Montreal Quebec has lots of bridges marked as low on major roadways, and no warnings. Or directions to get around them.
Many drivers stop at these things and then a local trucker comes by and says "go ahead". "Lots of room". Or, "you'll fit, just go slow
and don't hit a bump that may bounce your trailer too much".
Then they usually go through first to prove it.

You'd think it would be easier to replace the signs than have a truck stop in the middle of the road.

(I could go on and on about trucking in Montreal).

So, 15 ft is 4.57m. Those extra 7 cm really made the difference.

Looks like it was over height and took out the stabilizer links between the trusses.

Definitely had nothing to do with the "Weight Limit 6 Tons" / No Trucks
Or maybe he figured he's not driving a box van that didn't apply to him

^ 15 feet and still jammed tight?!? That doesn't seem right.

European setup, 2 axle COE with a 3 axle trailer. In Europe standard trailers are not higher than 4 meter. In the UK apparently overweight/height/width permits are obtained as easy as brown bread, so maybe this trailer is a UK special thats higher.

Although the sign is definately wrong, this trailer is by no means taller than 4.5m

Asphalt paving can be a ***** though, when i went to school there was an overpass under which they repaved the surface. The added 10cm caused a lot of truck jams, that had been passing under there for a decade.
