Ok, not really "tractors and wood" but I'm putting in a new kitchen at my place. Cabinets are hickory that we had made for us, but the counters are oak I took off our place and milled up.

That looks really nice. I think you influenced me to do an upgrade.

Agreed, I would not even dream of dropping a tree like that... maybe a nightmare dream..

Stuff that size isn’t that bad as long as the bar length is long enough it’s never fun to have to cut windows in and lay in the back cut.

Nice videos! You are the real deal and do this for a living, I'm a landowner and pretty much only cut trees for firewood or lumber..

Most of my trees are loblolly pine (SYP) the ones I prefer to cut are 18-20" diameter and 75-90 ish feet tall. Good size for me and my equipment to handle.

Question on the top video, looked like you put in a pair of orange wedges and what looked like a yellow one. The orange ones you hammered home, the yellow one you didn't touch, why? Or was it not a wedge?

This is off our personal ground but ours is mainly being used for log production. The yellow wedge I use as a tipping wedge or signal to let me know how the tree is reacting in that tall timber you can’t always see the tops especially when it’s foggy or smoky out like that day was.

One of the few butts that didn’t leave our place and I got to mill for personal use.
