Kubota M4D-71 vs L6060 for newbie

Thanks folks. I've decided to get the M4D-071. Curious what the lead time will be for an order. Does anyone have guidance on what is normal for pricing on these tractors relative to MSRP? I was under the impression that they tended to sell for 10-15% below MSRP but maybe that is not true anymore with the limited supply.
Highly likely you’ll pay MSRP or more.

Depends on your dealer. I’ve bought roughly $500k (at list - can’t recall actual prices) from my dealer over the past 8 years. He doesn’t inflate my prices now knowing not to upset me.

Discuss with your dealer the process for obtaining a tractor and implement sales tax exemption.

This varies tremendously from state to state. Usually easiest to qualify for an ag or forestry sales tax exemption in big-ag states. Quite simple in Florida. A one page declaration.

If you enter your LOCATION into your T-B-N PROFILE someone may tell you the exemption qualifications in your state. Your LOCATION encourages replies better tailored to your conditions.

Congratulations on the land. Congratulations on the tractor decision.
Someone FINALLY buying ENOUGH TRACTOR the FIRST TIME.

If the dealer can’t come close to 20% off, join one of many horse associations and get 20% that way. I just priced one that way. Dealer was able to get within $200 bucks without equine program with current incentives. Waiting on inventory to test drive/finalize deal.

No sales tax in MT, thankfully. Looks like equine is going to get it as cheap as it'll go. If I was going to finance, MSRP + incentive rates seems like it's a little bit better deal. Waiting to hear back on lead time, etc

Why not start out with a clapped out backhoe or skid loader to start and THEN if you get to haying (the only thing I saw necessary for tractor ownership) you can tackle that. Meanwhile, you have robust loader and backhoe far exceeding what a tractor can do.

I priced out an M4-71 this spring. A dealer had 2 tractors sitting, old stock. By the time I had it speced out the way I needed, it was close to CAN $ 100,000. I got the price from two different dealers. The one who had it in stock, the other closer to me but would have sourced it from the other. The same tractor, different price.

I passed it on. Couldn't separate from the 6430 premium.

I didn't know about these equine discounts. I wonder if they have them north of the border...

Tractor arrived at the dealership today! Unfortunately wasn't able to take delivery yet.

Also, for those who raised the very reasonable prospect of getting a TLB instead of a tractor, I ended up just going wild and getting a 3.5 ton mini ex in addition to the tractor. I told me wife it was cheaper than getting a porsche...
