I can just imagine parking my car in my living room after running over roadkill.
Also, car sharing needs a good cleaning service, people can be disgusting.
Car sharing (Zip etc.) in the big cities works pretty well, but Uber has really eaten away at their market in NYC.

Just returned from a 2400 mile drive over 3 days and noticed 3 Teslas on the road. 1 was dead on an off ramp. Hence, 33% failure rate.

🤣 OK. Poor reasoning, I'll admit it. But fun to stir the pot.

I see a lot of places where the car is not even parked in the garage. There's too much junk in the garage.
Another dream of city living.

I was on a 200 mile trip. Between Austin and Houston the only Tesla I saw was dead on side of the road. I guess that would be 100% failure rate.

I drove 6 miles and I noticed that all the local farm fields get populated with a pair of pallets leaned up against each other to form a inverted V shape. That's 100%! Do you think somebody should start a thread about that?

From my home in town, I went to over to my nearest Harbor Freight on Tuesday. I saw 5 Teslas in 4 miles of traffic on the way there. Nearly continuous views of different Teslas, on a boulevard then urban freeway. In addition to the Teslas owned by the neighbors immediately next to each side of my home, so seven overall. I've never seen one dead anywhere.

This was in urban NorCal. Was your experience on long remote stretches of freeway?

Sometimes I joke with the neighbor next to the ranch who is appalled by all the city people buying property around there. "Today I finally got back over to the land of Teslas and Priuses!"

I won't quote what he replies. :)

That may be the case for south of the equator but not the case north of the equator. I shared this article with the wife yesterday.

Jet stream pushing North would effectively affect North America but not sure if it would affect Europe that much. There, it's mostly the Gulf stream that brings them milder weather than us in Canada (although we're mostly at the same latitude). Gulf stream is getting weaker though so they'll get colder air but if the jet stream pushes North there too, it might 'cancel' the Gulf stream getting weaker.
