As the last almost 2 years have highlighted, many times, there is one set of Rules for peasants like me, and different (or no) Rules for Richey Rich....

Just to get to work, and buy groceries. I need reliable and affordable personal transportation in the frozen North. I'm told my ICE options will disappear.

Billionares however, can blast rockets into space, just because. Who's permission did they get to add that pollution to the atmosphere? Not Mine.

Megayachts - one cruise in those will likely blow more carbon, than any ICE vehicle I could drive to work, assuming I kept working till I was 100.

Peasants - get used to No ICE.

Billionares - Smoke 'em if Ya Got Em !

I don't smoke but I remember cigarettes 25 cents/pack. What are they now, about $5?
I used to buy cigs all the time, as a kid lots of friends parents, and I had many older friends (wisdom...young people today don't talk to us stupid old farts).
Some things it's bait & switch. Incentives, rebates, sell below MSRP, get you hooked then lower the boom.

Much of the price of cigarettes goes to taxes. I once stood in line at a convenience store for about 15 minutes while the woman in front of me tried to convince the clerk that her 3 cartons of cigarettes shouldn't cost more than $200. I must have taken something like a cup of coffee as usually I won't waste my time waiting.

On Rodeo Drive, or even @ Starbux, industrial scale chargers don't have a lot of poseur value....

I don't equate specific branding, or the willingness to take on extensive debt necessarily with brains.

ur posted in another thread about surgeons at the Cali hospital he works at, liking to gloat about how the Tesla's they drive don't cost them anything to charge @ home, due to the solar panels they have.

They didn't know enough to spend their wealth on island-capable PV systems, so when the Cali grid shuts down for days or longer, those panels on the surgeon's roofs did nothing but shield the roof from UV.

Even adding wealth to perceived smarts in one area does not guarantee results in other sectors....
