Where do I connect a direct return to the sump on my L6060? The dealer will not give out that info.

I don't know, but, from my limited experience, if you look at the control valves, one port will be supply, perhaps with a P stamped by it, there will be the lines to the cylinder(s), and either, or both, a PB (power beyond) and a T (tank) line.

Often these will be stamped or marked, but usually can be figured out, even if you have to "hand over hand" the lines to find out where they go.

What are you trying to add or hook up? Direct sump return can simply be Tee'd into any of the tank lines. Its the ONLY ones that can be Tee'd on an open center system

The hydraulic fill tube is a popular spot for a zero pressure return for applications such as a post driver.

I have a L6060 and I had a machine shop make a fitting to have it dump into the fill hole. I have to pull the dipstick and let it rest in place to act as a vent. The fitting I had made does not have a vent.

I will get a pic and post here for you later today.

I also have a fitting for my L5740 into the fill hole. But that hole is threaded, so I could use pipe fittings. The L6060 is not threaded.

Here are pics of my fitting. The first pic shows the fitting in place with a rubber strap holding it down. It did pop out on one job and pumped oil on a softball infield before I noticed it

Another pic shows the fitting in place without the strap and you can see the dipstick pulled up to allow venting
The other pic is the fitting pulled out. You can see they put 2 o-rings to help hold it in place and seal it. I still put the strap, because the o-rings did not hold it one time.

I am connecting a Lane Shark FEL brush cutter. They show a plug with a 10mm hex socket on top of the transmission, but other people have said it is on the side.

How are you powering it? 3rd functions and remotes all usually have both supply and return lines?

Many hydraulic motors will specify a direct return to the tank with no tee's or piggy backing.

Wonder if thats just a tractor thing.

Guess i am envisioning a skidloader and brush cutter hooked into the skidloaders auxiliary flat face couplings and chewing trees up
