I need your advice about what kind of juicer I should get.

I got the manual HealthyJuicer which is great for leafy greens and wheatgrass but is just not practical for everyday use or juicing large amounts. It takes forever to handpump enough for 1 nice sized glass.
Juicks
I am thinking of either getting some kind of centrifugal one (Breville) to inspire me to juice daily OR a single gear one (Champion or Omega or something else) for quality.

What do you think?

I use the Omega every day. Super easy to clean compared to the Champion my mom used to have.

Even easier. Eat the vegetables - drink a glass of water.

Got to admit that thought started to cross my mind.
Get the fiber to boot.....then I realized that maybe there's a reason someone might not want all that. (I've been told by my Doc to avoid veggies as I have crohns and turns out they can cause issues for me)

I'm not a huge veggie person so that didn't break my heart. Just now, had the light bulb go off in the head.... without the ruffage from eating it, would this be beneficial for me from the nutrient perspective, yet dodge the other part.

(literally, this is the first time in 12 years this thought has crossed my mind)

I'll need to ask the Doc next time I see or communicate with her.

My son has some brand of juicer. He made something that was green - like Big Barn. I tried a sip - almost lost my cookies. He used some type of grass, banana peels and some type of berries. He really liked the stuff.

My journey down the juicer lane was a disappointment. Perhaps I was not doing it right or expected too much. But, it seemed like it took a whole lot of vegetables or fruit to get much - that was the first disppointment - a lot of work for a glass of juice that was just okay.

The second disappointment was the cleanup - a real mess to do that - and having a glass of juice beforehand did not make it any less of an unwelcome chore. And there was a lot of 'stuff' left over. Had to toss all that, or maybe we put it into the compost pile - don't remember.

Anyway, better to eat the fruit and vegetables. It will make you regular.

(Note: my juicer was, I think, the Jack LaLane version - the one posted above seems like it would be much better to use).

I wonder. If you used only vegetables - would the "pulp" be any good in some type of home made soup?? Real shame to throw all that away.

That's what people do. I tried it. Makes better compost than soup.

But that's just my opinion.

If you live in Washington and compost it, it becomes the Washington Compost...lol
