Anybody see the 60 Minutes story last night about how grape and wine production is geographically shifting location because the climate is changing. They have the records that go back to the 1300’s.
…but according to some, it’s “nothing to see here”, just alarmist scientists who take bribes and are part of a worldwide conspiracy. Why, man can continue to bring up lakes of oil from underground and burn it on the surface with no effect to the thin layer of air that surrounds this rock we inhabit. Why, to suggest otherwise is ridiculous! Cheers.

Well, that is REALLY welcome weather news for many people in Virginia,,
Last August marked the beginning of a "NEW CROP" being grown by many in Virginia,,

That NEW CROP prefers hot weather, and from what I see in the news, the crop needs a gallon of water per plant, per day.

Bring on the heat, and the rain!!

I saw that you were getting bad weather. Looks like there's more rolling thru over the next ten days.

When it gets done with you it swings South and misses me in Northern Missouri, then hooks back to the NE and hammers the East Coast.

As long as that pattern continues we have easy weather here. We don't have any frost in the ground and have had no snow.

Calgary and Edmonton are experiencing windchill’s lower than -40 right now. (-40° is the same in Celsius as it is in Fahrenheit.)

Not to distract but,,,,, I hate wind chill. It's used to dramatize the weather. They quickly state temp numbers and then go crazy over wind chill. Our Weather People have gone complete drama following the news media's lead. Are we as a society so domesticated that we don't know it'll feel colder out today if the wind is blowing?

1st thing I look for is temp.
2nd thing I look for is wind speed.
3rd thing I look for is moisture probability.

These three things tell me everything I need to know to prepare for the day. Adding a fictional "number" to it is unnecessary.

They are not taking bribes. They are dedicated professionals that are getting paid an honest living doing research to support whatever the organization is paying them to find!

Warmer weather - my azz. It was 8F when I got up an hour ago.

My digital thermometer resets at midnight,, then records the high and low temp.
This morning it shows high of 63 degrees, and a low of 56,,, currently 56 degrees.
Humidity is 62%, which is not horrible, either,,
We are supposed to have a high of 60 today,
and a high of at least 65 degrees each day for the NEXT FIVE DAYS!!
