it does, and you can tie it in front of a compressor if you want the extra 7 gallons of capacity, great tank. just got rid of my 5 gallon HF one due to age and hose valve issues.

Don't know what your specific requirement for having the tank, but if its just air at a remote location and you have 20V battery tools, buy one of the compressor/inflators that will run on your exiting battery packs. I have a Dewalt DCC020IB and it will air truck tires to 80+psi no problem. Much more portable than the tank and provide a lot more air on an 4 or 5 ah battery pack. Look for a Project Farm youtube review of battery powered inflators for his take.

Thanks a million guys...I saw the Kobalt and it already comes w the quick connectors, has a drain and is 7 gal vs just 5 gal. The fact you can connect directly to com your compressor means I'm not holding an air-chuck to a Schrader Valve. I like the inflators, but trying to avoid something w batteries at this point.

I recycled an old 20# propane tank, it was less than $20 to convert it, (fittings and air line)

I have two expired 30# tanks that are in good shape that I want to convert.

I see Grainger has some USA made 20 gallon Speedaire units. Not sure who else makes a portable unit. 20 gallons is a darned big tank to lug around.

I purchased a 30 gallon portable tank from Grainger,, I agree, it is not portable!!
It is even one of their "certified" tanks that is required in some states,,
so the steel is thicker, and there are extra fittings, that adds even more weight.

I really bought it as a "buffer" tank to increase my storage between a 5hP compressor and a plasma torch.
It was perfect for that. The torch always received cool, dry air.

I have used it as a portable tank, but, I simply lifted it and set it in a cart.
I operated an air fence stapler to re-fence our garden. The stapler drives up to 2" long staples.
Over 300 feet of fence,, and I only had to go back to the shop to refill the tank two times.

I have that tank, the hose is poor quality, and you have to be careful with Aluminum tanks, they get damaged easily.

It works, I just wouldn't call it high quality, like most all china made "stuff".

I have a DeWalt 20V Max inflator. Very handy and easy to use. For tires, just set it to the pressure and it takes care of it. Doesn't take very long and a 5AH battery lasts very long.

Used it yesterday while installing an expansion tank on the water heater. Portable as a lunchbox.
