The GOAT retires !!?!

Really? How many rings did Tom earn? He has the leadership skills to get the most out of everyone, including AB. Former team mates have nothing but praise for TB, research that...
I get it, he's a great competitor, and nobody likes a team that wins all the time. But don't try to take away from his accomplishments because you don't like him. He works very hard at his craft, like all the great ones. He studies films etc etc etc. He knows the weaknesses of teams and their players and takes advantage of them. And every QB has lesss than perfect games. And what great QB doesn't "yell" at his teammates in the proper manner. They are adults and know it's not personal. Now if you line up former players who testify what a SOB he was....

Yep ^^^^^^^^^^
I don’t condone cheating, but it doesn’t take away from his ferocity and competitiveness.
You don’t think other players don’t cheat? One of my friends is ex-NFL for Ravens and told me plenty of players cheat in some way.

Brady is a 1st ballot Hall of Fame in Canton. They’re probably making his bust right now.

We will never know how many he "earned" because most of his career was built on a culture of cheating. Nobody likes a cheater and in sports, cheaters often win.

News flash...98% of NFL players study film. Probably closer to 100%, but there are always a few in every crowd. The difference with Brady is that he was studying from illegally obtained video and video of opponents signals, not just their play.

Pretty unusual that @Steppenwolfe I are on the same side of an issue.

Cheating is cheating... It doesn't make someone "great". But... ya'll go on, I said my piece.
Really? Again, you don't like him for that one reason. All your other points have no merit.
I guess you are a Pete Rose hater too?

Man... you don't get it. Cheating is a sign of character, not abilities. And now we get to see yours.
LOL... you remind me of so many sports fans, so blinded by their own biases that they are willing to believe everything they read, and can't pull themselves to give any credit. You know the type, yelling that the refs are out to get their team, unfair etc etc etc. Do you watch football? If so, why? If a team is penalized for anything, isn't that cheating?
Should I judge your character by the opinions of others of you on here?

The only instance I am aware of was the deflate gate. And even then, the details are not cut in stone. Then again, it didn't mean that much to me. I mean, evryone was playing with the same ball...
Now LT for the Giants told of how he would send hookers and drugs up to the rooms of rival teams the night before so they wouldn't be on there game. Cheating or smart? He didn't break any rules...

Maybe you should read up on his stats, career wise, and explain to me all the cheating that took place for him to get those. The NFL should be ashamed they allowed him to play if that was the case.
So, to answer your question, he cheated by deflating the ball. And I would guess that each and every game there are 12 - 13 cheats per average penalties.

One... I am not a fan of football. So, I have no dog in this fight. Did Brady cheat or not?
I don't know. It was controversial. The NFL did make changes regarding care of game balls to insure that this could not happen again.
But if we really want to talk cheating, my first finger would point to the Saints. When the organization was paying bonuses for deliberaty hurting players so they could not play. That is what basically happened to Brett Farbve in the last Vikings playoff game. They beat him up badly.

It was controversal in the fact he didn't deflate, but IIRC, they said he should have known by feeling the pressure in the football. Not really a big offense in my book.
Now the bounties is another issue. Not sure what became of it other than a new rule...

As somebody else pointed out though, weren't they all playing with the same ball? I don't see how that would give an advantage.

Several years ago in the "Day the Music Died" thread I was admonished along with a few others for stating that a singer wasn't very good... the thread is about remembering people who the posters enjoy. The point was well made and I learned from my mistake. It seems that some could learn from that lesson here. The thread is about a popular man who just retired. If somebody wants to discuss all of his alleged sins, please start your own thread. Otherwise please STFU.
