Yeah, dude was paying his employees $20/hr and then giving them a 1099. So the employee was having to cover the employers side of taxes and other benefits out of pocket.


Amazon is paying their employees $20 to start out. Then paying the bulk of their insurance, and the other benefits that they offer.

20/hr is just the starting wage for someone with no experience. If you have experience you get paid more.

Would you want the people you hire to help you harvest your crop of hay, bale them and truck them to your customers on time to gang up on you and control how you run your show? You would kick their butts and run them off your property. You'd better, Dude. No good slackers are people who want to cash in on the risk you took setting up your business in the first place. The investors who put their money in could have lost everything if Amazon didn't pan out and went bust even before their IPO. People who want to form unions should all go to China. It's one big union over there. We are red-blooded capitalists over here and not ashamed of it one bit.

Some companies and owners deserve unions. Some companies don't. Treat employees fairly and employees won't feel the need to form a union.

The average American's lack of loyalty was created by the greed of many corporations who looked at employees as expendable. Yes, some unions have become greedy like corporations and I've know some union members who quit the union because of this. Capitalism without morality is just as evil as communism.
