Are these the same financial geniuses that said there was no risk of inflation for the last year?

Or is that Vlad's fault, too?

And when you have THE most powerful position in the Country filled by a person that swore to stop the fossil fuel industry dead in its tracks.....

Except they are not stopped in their tracks. Facts matter.

Importing oil is more polluting than drilling at home because it requires ships to bring it here, and they pollute the atmosphere.
I wont mention the other impacts, like less jobs for Americans, for example.
Absolutely. No argument. We are currently the world’s largest producer of petroleum products and the production is growing. As for American jobs: the industry is having a difficult time now finding enough oil field workers.

It has been accurately said that low supply and high demand are the cause of inflation.
But one has to dig more to find out why.
For those who believe that it is Big Oil and their shareholders holding back, I would challenge you to read this.

I blue board member just shot down his own parties' nomination for the Fed. Reserve board and now refuses to vote on another nominee. The reasoning was in regards to gas and oil. Read it yourself. I suspect he forgot more then we collectively know about it. Again, it is about policies not politics that is being discussed as the players in this article are all blue.

The West Virginia Democrat went one step further, withholding the nomination of an Interior Department nominee until the Biden administration committed to more oil and gas drilling. Manchin has also blasted the Biden administration and several officials publicly for not doing enough to stimulate oil and gas development.
Yep, there’s a lot of people in the political world with opinions about not liking oil. So what? Production is continuing and increasing, not decreasing.

“Increasing” is one thing.
Increasing enough to keep fuel affordable is another

Dude, oil executives have been threatened with imprisonment.

What is a hot shot?
A hot shot is when you have an ordered part/tractor/hose, (whatever), picked up and delivered to the requested destination, often for a raised fee, for instant delivery to said destination

Maybe you missed post #94. Supply<demand = inflation. Facts matter

It’s probably too political to discuss, but the big guy threatened it.

Maybe you missed the fact that production increased in 2021 and is increasing even more in 2022? You are claiming: 1) that there is a lack of areas to drill for oil, but 2) acknowledge that production is increasing. Both things cannot be true. Fuel costs are inflated now just like all other costs. Largely the result of the federal reserve holding interest rates artificially low for the past 15+ years. Then Covid disrupted the economy. Now oil companies cannot ramp up further at this time because they’re experiencing labor shortages. And that labor costs a lot more due to inflation. Lots of poor economic decisions and government mistakes ever since the Great Recession. Actually before the Great Recession. Monetary policy kept the economy going even though it was apparent that this would eventually blow up. There are lots of factors creating high fuel prices, but a lack of places to drill isn’t one of them. The Bakkan in North Dakota is mostly private lands, the Permian basin in TX and NM is mostly private land. Once again permits are issued by state governments, not the federal government for private lands. Even where there is federal land in these oil fields, they are a small percentage. Alaska and marine areas are where the primary federal lands are in oil fields. And also the most expensive areas to operate in. Oil companies are operating where costs are lower. I’m completely done with this discussion. I have better things to discuss and do.
