I honestly think you will regret 24" forks because they will 'get shorter' as you curl back to keep things from rolling off of them. If you are trying to move more than one log at a time you may end up with a fairly small area considering that.
And unless you need to be able to change their width setting like normal forks, I dont think it's worth the cost of anything built to mount and slide on a fork carriage vs just making something. For example, if you aren't trying to pick up very heavy stuff, it would be far cheaper to buy a pair of the short bale spears and just weld their mount bushings onto your fork carriage. I believe there is a 32" bale spear size that only ~26" sticks out past the mounting sleeve, but they are a bit harder to find than 39" which ~32" sticks out or so. That might be the right size for you considering what I said about how 'short' they will be at max rollback.

I have never seen stock pallet forks shorter than 36" offered.

the bale spears to cradle the log is an interesting idea. That'd likely work well without a ton of effort. I had contemplated buying longer fork blades and cutting them down, but I'd prefer an option that keeps the taper. My forest is only bout 30 or so years old so the logs would be fine with the short supports.

Grapples are nice but I've migrated away from mine because I use my forks way more than a grapple. A grapple is a one horse use where i use my forks for a multitude of different tasks. Makes life easier for me.

You could cut forks for that. Need stouter forks for logs anyway. Option of trying 30-36” long before going shorter. For logging had some bottom bevel thick log forks that worked better off road. Set 5’ wide. Have some bottom bevel clamp on Titan forks which work better picking off the ground. Switched to grapple that I liked better.
It's a B2601. Rather not buy a grapple for the logs unless i find a need for it beyond that. Even then, i probably wont want to make room to store another big attachment so it'd be a tough sale.
I've contemplated buying a longer pair of forks and cutting them down, though it'd be nice to have the bevel on them. Cutting and grinding them wont be hard, but I'm a little concerned about messing up their temper. Bummer that the shorter forks don't really seem to be available anywhere.
