Yes, why would the RV manufacturer have a template to put in those female flanges straight?

On that note, it bugs the heck out of me to see a car dealership's name sticker put on crooked. Don't let the minim wage kid put those on, thell be seen by thousands of people and it shows your lack of detail.
I insist that the auto dealers remove their front bumper plates and any stickers or decals before I leave their lot. Drives me nuts. Unless they want to give me a hefty discount to advertise for them.

Now that's just good "house-keeping".

I just remembered I had an obsession at one stage over locking the doors at night. I'd lock them and go to bed, but even though I knew I'd locked them, I just had to get up and re-check. That happened for quite a while. I'm not sure how I got over that OCD - maybe just gave myself a good mental kick in the arse.
I do the same with locks, and add in making sure all water faucets and stove are Off. Toaster oven unplugged too. Check each repeatedly.

Misspelled words. I strive not to be **** about it when somebody posts, although if they make the mistake repeatedly I might give a gentle reminder. As long as we know what somebody is saying though, I have no business correcting them.
In my own posts I try to get words spelled write ;), and will look them up if I'm not sure or if spell check says that I'm wrong. (I also REFUSE to let a computer give suggestions.) I often type too fast when doing a search so end up with corrections; i.e., JCPenny. I won't use the results. Rather, I will go back and type in the correct spelling. JCPenney. I actually looked up "Misspelled" tp make sure that I got it right.

It's an oddity as my grammar isn't the best. For one thing I use way too many commas, often going back to correct them after hitting "post reply."

Everything.
My obsessiveness drives my wife crazy. She tells me its ok, everybody does things different. I tell her that there is an art to everything we do.
Even wiping your ass requires proper technique or your just smearing s**t.
Always have to wipe at least 3 times. Have too!!!

I have always considered message boards / forums etc. as more of a conversation or casual remarks rather than something like open formal letters or missives etc...
...Thus my use of ellipses...IMO it's an elegant way to serve as a pause or a segue without an explanation etc...

IMO...it's prudent to proof read posts before posting because the traffic on TBN can be so fast it's possible a post with a misspelled word or other error will get quoted before it can be edited...

You can have too many commas? I had a coworker once who thought that commas shouldn't ever be used. Or is that should be used, ever? Drove me nuts. Her native language tends to paragraph long sentences with verbs piled up at the end, but with a grammar that is particularly rigid reducing the need for commas.

Maine decided an important overtime case that hinged upon a state law either using, or not using, enough commas.

Computer suggested spellings often aren't the ones that I intended; I do miss the old days when you could load personal dictionaries.

All the best,

Peter

Oh, yeah. That goes right with my laments about the uselessness of search engines in general. Believe it or not my dictionary is still in the box I packed it in before moving here in 2003. One of this weekend's projects is to dig that out and start using it again.

I also bought a deck of cards last week. I enjoy playing solitaire but don't feel I should have to "register" to do so. For years I've played on the computer, but there must have been a recent download as it's become almost impossible.

I guess that I'm just showing my age.

I once swallowed a dictionary...
It gave me thesaurus throat I've ever had...!
