Never heard of that.
It was in jest Daryl. Aimed at the posters that compete to claim the cheapest heating costs. I should have added the winky face.

Start a thread and we'll see where it goes.

Years ago, there was a home improvement show that included a tour of a historic home in Europe that more or less looked like a large one room living quarters with a stone curb running through the middle of the room. They apparently kept livestock on one side of the curb during the winter as a source of heat, and the people lived on the other side.

I would guess some actually do claim that. If they produce solar or wind power, the utility gives them the impression they are making money.

Sounds to me like a smelly existence.

The Irish used to keep their Irish Dexter cattle inside during cold months for their body heat

My dealer said the same thing and never moved one of them all year. So take what a dealer says with a grain of salt.

I get it, a lot of sales people create an artificial sense of urgency and are good at it. In my case, I don't think this was the case. I sat in his office and heard him call the other store that he had just sent my tractor to and told them he would need it back because he had it sold. They weren't happy because every time he sent them a tractor he had to ask for it back because his store was selling them and there's wasn't.

I really think it is very specific to location/dealership/region etc. In my tractor search I did find multiple dealers who had lots of inventory (not close to me) and some dealers had little or none, especially Kubota had very little in my area, at least the ones I called. But I wasn't really set on any particular brand. I had a short list of MF, Kubota and was considering Mahindra and Kioti. I honestly didn't even have Yanmar on my list but glad I added it.

At one time I was looking for a new RTV and ended up spinning my wheels.

All the ones on the lot and in crates were sold.

So when will you have any available… don’t know?

What would one cost out the door… give me a ballpark so I’m not wasting your time.

I went online to build… can I build one and is that your price?

Really got nowhere so my Suzuki is my RTV and only cost a $1,000 plus a transmission bearing.

Hard to use the dump bed, though. 😀
