Lied to wife about lost billfold.

I finally realized, about 15-20 years ago --- my memory wasn't what it use to be. SO ....... everything has its place and when done with "it" - better be putting it back in its place. My memory seldom helps find the "lost". Its simply a matter of an extended search.
I have that place where my keys, pen, and my wallet go.

I'll go back later to get one of them for something and they are gone

If they aren't in that spot, then my wife moved them.

She'll tell me where she put them, then I'll retrieve them and put them back in the original spot.

Looks like you may need a divorce attorney. The firm I recommend is Dewey, Cheatham and Howe. :ROFLMAO:

Sometimes telling the truth may be good for the soul but can be the equivalent of a hot lead enima in a marriage. You know, when she tries a new recipe for banana bread, when her mother's recipe was a gift from God, and you need 3 cups of coffee to wash it down. Come on now, all of us have had to lie in this case to avoid an appointment in divorce court.

Okay, here's the plan. Tell her that you had put your pants on backwards and so the billfold ended up in the front where it was not expected to be. Then tell her that doing this was of some concern to your doctor who said it was caused by stress at home and that he said that it was very important that she make sure to create a stress free environment in the home - which would mean that she prepare your favorite foods, keep the honey-do list down to one a week, and not disturb you when you are watching football. See how that works and let us know.
Might also want to throw in the dr said that more frequent sex will improve the memory.

My wife is really bad habit about moving my things to someplace out of her sight and then forgetting where or that she moved it. I can't tell you how many times she has said, I didn't do anything with it, only to find out it was exactly where she put it.
Mine does the same. Very frustrating. We'll look for several minutes for the item, give up, then maybe hours later it dawns on her that she moved it.

I would accuse her of putting it in the wrong pocket and making you look for it.

That's one advantage of being single, everything stays exactly where I left it.

That's no fun. You can't blame somebody else for moving something that you lost.

I'm glad that works for you. ;) I still have things going for a walk.
Years ago I lost my logger's tape. It was on the same shelf for a year, and I saw it there often. Yet the day that I needed it the blasted thing was gone. I looked and looked with no luck so finally used the tape my company supplied me.

The next time that I walked past the shelf, that darned tape was there again.

Why is it, I can't see the lost item when it is "in front & on top".

If it was a snake it could have bit me.
