I've learned my lesson to stay out of it.

My father in law a pretty good man. He stays out of it as well.

How you raise two different children in the same household and they come out so differently as adults is still a life's mystery to me (between my wife and her sister).

Being an only child, I have no reference points myself LOL

My wife's parents would look at her, then her siblings, and then ask each other what happened in the time between her and them.

I've got 4 siblings. None of us are alike. Same with our two kids. They aren't opposites, they're just different from each other.

It would be kinda boring if they were all the same.

Lowes in Elkhart has Veteran spaces.

If it's anything like my Lowes, then they're filled with non-vets. Just like every time I show up with a trailer, all of their "trailer only" spaces are filled with Subaru station wagons, forcing me to leave my 50 foot long rig hanging out into the aisle.

Last time, I parked in the aisle trapping a half dozen of them in. Found them all irritated in the parking lot a half hour later, when I was done my shopping. Told them all they "shouldn't be parking mom's station wagon in a trailers-only spot," if they don't want to be parked in by the next guy actually towing a trailer.

I used to submit complaints to store management about this, suggesting they actually have their lot attendants watch for this, but it was all wasted breath. Tractor Supply customers are much better, as more of them are likely trailer owners themselves. Home Depot is hit or miss. Lowes is the worst, by far.

I try to do my grocery shopping in the evening when traffic is lighter. The more idiots I can avoid the better. LOL

When I worked a shift that I'd get off at 3:30am, I'd head to the store for groceries. Have the store to myself except for the guy on the floor cleaning machine.

Hey little car…. You’re in my parking space.

This accident occurred on the Skagit River Bridge on I-5 just North of Mt Vernon, WA. River is at record levels of flooding so it's possible the "compact(ed) car" was slowed due to the distraction and the semi ran into it from the rear.

Amazingly, the driver only suffered minor injuries!

It's rare that more than half of handicapped spots are taken when I go out. (Unless it is a vacation destination). I figure, if someone wants to be a DB and park there, they have to live with who they are. It doesn't affect me, other than shaking my head...

If not for he orientation of the exhaust left lying on the ground, I'm not sure I'd be able to figure out which was the front vs. rear, from that photo!

Glad to hear the driver is okay, as you certainly wouldn't assume that to be the outcome.

This isn’t about parking, yet is something I can never understand.
I was at a red light, the lane had just spit into two and I was in the left lane. After a couple of hundred yards and two lights the right lane ended. A car pulled up beside me and when the light changed he tore off to get in front. Just after the lanes merged be put on his left blinker, and I had to sit behind him until the oncoming traffic cleared and he made his turn.

He wasn’t wrong per se, just a different outlook on driving. If I know I’m going to be turning I will try to let people in front of me.
