Fram went to Mexico for a time, may still be there? That was when I REALLY started hearing about problems with them and I already was hearing about them enough to stop using them.

My dodge grand caravan uses a replaceable cartridge. I actually like how it works instead of throwing away the whole "housing" everytime you just replace the paper cartridge. All of this gives me a chuckle as it reminds me of how my dad swore by an oil filter that used replaceable “ cartridges” , which were toilet paper rolls! Haven’t seen them offered lately, wonder why.
Franz is still around, using in-house filter element because toilet paper changed to soft stuff that turns to mush. Way back, you could find stouter toilet paper, basically, the cheap stuff. All of this gives me a chuckle as it reminds me of how my dad swore by an oil filter that used replaceable “ cartridges” , which were toilet paper rolls! Haven’t seen them offered lately, wonder why.
they are still around mostly as a bypass filter now I would not " poo poo" them ;-)All of this gives me a chuckle as it reminds me of how my dad swore by an oil filter that used replaceable “ cartridges” , which were toilet paper rolls! Haven’t seen them offered lately, wonder why.
