Does it come in a Hellcat version
Does it come in a Hellcat version
Nope. But a buddy of mine did get an SRT 392 Wrangler for his wife. The thing is f'ing scary, no one should ever put that much HP on a wobbly Wrangler chassis, IMO. Reminds me the supercharged v8 go-cart posted in another thread, yesterday.Does it come in a Hellcat version![]()
Glad they did…fits in there nicely…Nope. But a buddy of mine did get an SRT 392 Wrangler for his wife. The thing is f'ing scary, no one should ever put that much HP on a wobbly Wrangler chassis, IMO. Reminds me the supercharged v8 go-cart posted in another thread, yesterday.
We love our little 2L turbo Rubicon. goes absolutely anywhere with front & rear diff locks and sway bar disconnects.Nice! I love the stupidity of it! But I've done a lot of trail driving and rock crawling, and a nice v6 thru a 3-speed auto gets the job done better than any big-displacement engine that only makes the vehicle heavier and more nose-heavy on steep descents.
But don't take it as criticism, as I would get a kick out of a big block on a go cart! I was the guy with stupid 40" tires on Bronco's and Ram Chargers with big v8's, while everyone else was out there skirting around me and into places I could never reach, in smaller and lighter v6 Wranglers. Practicality is not my strong suit.
I really liked my 462 cubic inch (Pontiac) Jeepster. floor it at 50 MPH and smoke the rear tiresNice! I love the stupidity of it! None of the guys I would trail ride or rock climb with were running the old straight 6. It's been 25 years since then, but I believe most of them were running GM 60° or Chevy Vortec v6's, but I also remember at least two Buick v6's in the group. These guys were rock climbers, not antiquers.Last "appropriate" (best for the job) engine Jeep put in the Wrangler was the old straight 6, NOT a V6.
Friend of mine bought an '06 Jeep LJ and put a Hellcat engine in it. Now that's cool!!!Nope. But a buddy of mine did get an SRT 392 Wrangler for his wife.
