I have Craftsman, Echo, Husqvarna engines. Seems like each one has its own different starting ritual that depends on whether the saw is cold or hot.
I have to say, I'm 100% sold on synthetic 50-1 fuel. Not cheap but all my saws run very well on it, including the big 075 and 090 Stihl's.

My bil bought it for my dad made his non starting seldom used Stihl start and run perfect I was in the process of getting my tools out to pull apart the carb. Nope.

My balky 45 year old 028 AV runs sweet on it. Would never idle before, now it does and the Echo CS likes it too. Far as I can tell, the Tru-Fuel and the Echo Red Armor are the same stuff. They look and smell the same. Both are red and both have little to no smell.

Forgot what it was I think it was red? but to my amazement it got that saw started and running very well. So I'm sold on it I'll probably only use mostly cause of price, for a last ditched attempt before I bring out the tools.

for all I use my saws, I might go through 2 gallons a year and that includes my Stihl FS 66 straight shaft brush trimmer so I have no issue using it. Everything else gets weasel pee with Marine Stabil added.

Non ethanol with seafoam for me. Used to use the blue stabil but Imho seafoam works better and I buy it by the gallon lol.

Only thing I use it for is cleaning the carbon deposits from the fuel injected engine intakes on the vehicles. It's over priced compared to Marine Stabil. Besides, I'm cheap.

I went through 2 gallons last week in the saws and use about a gallon every time I fire up the weed whacker. Lots of obstacles to trim around ( not mine) and more than mile of shore line around the ponds. That does not include the areas of the dam I can't cut with mowers,

I didn't realize they made "Synthetic" gasoline

I thought it was just plain Jane non ethanol gasoline mixed with oil to what ever is labeled and sold in sealed cans.

Granted your paying more for the convenience. But it sure is handy, and I keep some on hand for the saw at work, plus the generators.

I'm still on the non ethanol mixed gas for my saw that I mixed up myself 4 years ago.

Give the jug a good shake, then dump into my saw.

Sure do. Tru-Fuel and Echo as well as Stihl all market a syn gas. I have both the Tru-Fuel and the Echo syn gas and they look and smell the same. None of them are cheap however but I don't use that much anyway. Minumum shelf life (in the can or in a piece of equipment is 5 years. Chainsaw dealers sell it as well as Lowes and Home Depot.
