Suggestions on a "bombproof" phone case that will offer great protection?

Otterbox defender series was a total joke. Looking for something a little more sturdy.

Been mowing 13 years with the phone in the pocket, never a problem.

The thoughts running in my mind when I'm coming down a hill and I'm thinking "what's the black thing I'm coming up on?" and realizing what it was when I was to too late to stop.

If I'm out back, having a phone is a good idea "just in case", but may look at a small pelican box just for storage (that or perhaps pants with zippers on the pockets).

Get a leather holster. Don't buy the one with a swivel(wears out), or the one with a cloth/nylon belt loop. The one I have now from Amazon has a leather belt loop and seems to be the best yet. None of them are perfect.

send it back, see if “sucked into mower” is part of the warranty.

On the serious side, maybe a phone holder mounted to the tractor would work out better.

I leave my phone in my truck. I had to carry a cell 24x7 for 25 years for work, I cut that cord when I retired.

There are MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF OTTERBOX DEFENDER phone cases,,

I ordered two different Otterbox Defender cases from Amazon
The first arrived and was too large to fit the phone,, RETURNED
The second arrived, and was too small,,, RETURNED

The third was ordered directly from OTTERBOX, it arrived, and fit the phone.

Then, I saw a YAHOO news article about an Amazon outlet store,,
They sold returned goods,,
including phone cases, which included OTTERBOX brand cases.
The returned cases have a price of 5 for $2,, or forty cents each!!

No one can stay in business selling $40 items for $0.40
obviously, the Amazon cases are imitation,,

I have an OtterBox on my phone and I've been pleased with it so far. But all my issues have been with dropping it. So far, it's been flawless.

I have had a few close calls when mowing. Seems like that every time I put my phone somewhere other then my front pocket, it falls off and I'm hiking around to find it. So far, I've been lucky and haven't run over it with the mower or bush hog. With my new cab tractor, it's really nice having it mounted to the glass door on my right!!!!

I try really hard to keep my phone in my front pocket when mowing. That seems to be the only place that I'm sure it's safe.

I realize you're two days past April fool's jokes, but come on. We aren't that gullible.

Otter Box has been my go-to case for years. I've never broken a phone or screen.

The first thing I do is ditch the belt holder, and, like Eddie said, I keep it in my front pants pocket unless I'm using it. All other times, it goes back in the front pants pocket.

I can't count the number of screens I've replaced on my wife and kids' phones over the years. I've become pretty good at it. They won't buy thicker cases, so the phones don't survive.

Phones have just gotten too BIG imho. It's no longer practical to carry them. I have a phone holder on the tractor and a charge cord. Works good.
I play music in my headphones and it's there for a 911 call if needed.
