Having about 10 Kubota's with HST's and then switching to a gear drive hydraulic shuttle, I'd NEVER go back to a slush box again.
I don't think that dealer is correct...The Branson dealer I went to said they were all built in the USA and were not owned by Kukje. I questioned that with TYM badging but, didn't argue the point either.

Chit chat with a purpose can sometimes be used to effectively screen dealers you don't want to buy from.
I mow alot of pastures with a HST. I specifically bought a HST for this purpose.....because mowing pastures is 90% of the work done with my tractor. So I disagreeAnd, an HST sucks big time mowing a big pasture IMHO.
