Believe me when I say..... I'd love to be wrong.

But, just like billions of iphone users do every year, they'll be Saving the Planet by buying new....

Or, whatever the Collective Conscience is being programmed for this week/day/hour/minute......

I ask myself "Why?" or "Who benefits from this" more and more often these days. It's part of the process to understand what's really happening.

Most of the people creating these regulations have no clue how our country even works. I have seen some states demanding bans on small engines to go along with the fossil fuel vehicle bans. Imagine trying to clean up after a F4 tornado or a huge earth quake or massive hurricane all while using electric chain saws and battery powered dozers. It wont work. Bro... You are going to not have power for a week, just use your battery powered generator. I love progress. This is not progress. It seems like progress stopped sometime in the 80's. Now it just consumerism mixed with some type of special ed authoritarianism. What is even more terrifying is the lack of common sense and decline in intelligence. We are standing on the shoulders of giants and that is coming to an end. Our new leaders are semi retarded narcissists with no clue how anything works. I know 25 year old men who take their cars into a mechanic to have their tire pressure checked. 30 year olds living with their parents, and those same people will, no kidding try and tell you how to live and what is the best way forward for our country. The whole hard times strong men, good times weak men thing. Glad I'm old.

Plenty discuss it.

For me it is mostly solar/NG, followed wind, then coal/lignite, then nuclear and lastly hydro.

All far more efficiently used fuel than a tiny ICE.

Tesla has a 8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.

I'm pretty sure most people will hit the 8 years long before the 150,000 miles because of limited distance per charge capability. Tesla can loose 30% retention of battery capacity over the 8 years ... that's a significant loss of capability.

With the replacement cost of the Tesla battery being well over $100,000 I would think most people would opt not to replace the battery which makes the Tesla life-span starting at 8 years.

My 2022 model has the 7yr, 120k mi warranty.

I’m at 7% loss at 61,500miles and that has basically flat lined. Purchased mid December 2021, so I’m around the 18 month mark as my commute is a bit over 200 miles round trip. Significantly longer than the average American commute.

Where is your $100k replacement battery?

I'm glad your battery car is working for you. There are plenty of people that they do work great for. For others they are useless.
