I thought a peasant meant someone who doesn't own a gun, not someone with a gas car?

Peasants are the ones that are targeted by a two tier system. When you have to shut down your wood fired pizza oven due to regulations created by a group of people that use more energy yearly than you do in a life time, you are a peasant. When your financial transactions down to $600 are tracked by regulations created by people who became millionaires via insider trading while laundering billions of dollars, you are a peasant. I could go on for hours but you get the point.

Class down..... there goes the neighbourhood..... (Bear with me on this one.....)

Interesting how that ^ filter works.....

Different thread on here, but similar "atmosphere" being referenced...... somebody mentioned an example: Older guy, kept a mechanically very sound RV on the road, but it looked a little tired, so "some" people looked down on it/him.

The line was something like "Funny thing - he could buy Winnebago, if he wanted to." Went on to distinguish "No, not A Winnebago, I'm talking about the entire company".

Filters..... can work in more than one direction, and not the way many would think of.....

"Special ed Authoritarianism" still has me laughing.... it's an element of this too, puts a Funny Face on an otherwise rather dark topic that many of us peasants are/will have to struggle with.....

One of my grand fathers owned a junk yard in backwoods Alabama. Always wore old overalls and drove a junk truck. Most of the time he had more $$ in his bib pocket than most see in months.... He could pay cash for whatever he wanted right there right now, including a new Cadillac.
Most thought he was just a dumb redneck.

My Dad looked like a bum after he retired, dressed in patched clothes. He was picking up trash along highway when people stopped. They said "we hear there's a wealthy old lady that lives here" as they pointed down long driveway (couldn't see house). Dad said "yes, and she lets me sleep with her once in a while".

I often refer to myself as a peasant - loosely translates as Wage Slave, to use a more common term.....

THIS ^ (Zark's post) is what it really is..... IF you can bypass The Rules THEN You are NOT a Peasant.

(Edit: Always liked my cousin's line.... "Me not as Think as You Dumb I am" )

I sure miss my Dad (rip). He could come up with doozies. He ordered a new '70 Plymouth Fury III with a 440. The salesman said "won't your neighbors be impressed?". Dad said "We don't have neighbors. Where you live you try keeping up with the Joneses. Where we live we ARE the Joneses".
Back then State police used '70 440 Furys. They had radar outside drivers window so he "made" a radar copy out of PVC pipe, hung it out the window. Back then wore a suit & tie and one day in a hurry getting home spotted a trooper in mirror, Dad going 80! Dad said trooper just gave him thumbs up as he passed.

Is it true that the kia & another car their oil pans are too small???
kia's seem to burn lots of oil???
There is a video on youtube a britt was talking about cars getting
for 50 to 90 miles per gallon vw was the 90 mpg I never heard of
the models but they were small cars. I watched a little of it.
Some one put a small engine carb on a v8 and got 70 mpg
To really save money on transportation is to install a complete
solar system and get an electric car for approx $20k.
I have seen where on youtube a 6.5 hp gas engine run on water
wonder if it really works?? If it works could run a 2k watt wind
generator attached to an inverter to charge an electric car. This
would really be cheap transportation! Mo wind & solar make
some really good wind generators. Could also power your whole
house with 3 or 4 wind generators forget the batteries direct hookup

Rumor was Kia and Hyundai cheeped out on their early US imports and used just cast iron compression rings, unlike other corps engines that used chrome or chrome rail- moly filled compression rings. generally by 80k miles cast iron rings have worn to the point that an engine will fail a leak down test and become oil burners

If Stanley Meyer was successful with his electrolyzer car we could all be driving water cars. Either way he died unexpectedly after eating at a restaurant, and declaring he had been poisoned before collapsing.
