The first five episodes were filmed in Georgia and the rest was filmed in California. I guess they didn't like the Georgia heat.

So, my kids were watching the I Love Lucy episode with John Wayne and his footprints on Hollywood Blvd. Great episode.

Now my 10 year old daughter wants to watch a John Wayne movie tonight, but I suspect she wouldn't enjoy most of them. Would 1972 The Cowboys be a good place to start?

Who shot Liberty Valance is one of my favorites, but Jimmy Stewart is more the main character than John Wayne. Stagecoach is another on of my favorites along with True Grit.

Well, I ended up working outside until well-past dark last night, didn't leave enough time for any watching. Tonight is looking like more of the same, trying to keep ahead of our patio mason with excavation and backfill operations. I think I will aim to do The Cowboys first, knowing it's particularly kid-friendly, but I'll check out the others as well. I was always a fan of the person that is John Wayne, but I was never much a fan of his movies. I guess I always fell more in the Clint Eastwood fan club.
