2020 MX5400 Kubota PRICING

I got a 2020 MX5400 Kubota. It's got 150 hrs on it. I am looking to see if anyone can give me a resale value or where to look.

This is going to vary quite a bit from area to area and the condition of the tractor. Best bet is take a look at the local adds for similar tractors, a few of the online auctions may give some clues.

With the MX things that will affect the price a lot you don’t mention are cab, 4x4, rear remotes, and third function.

If I was to throw a number out there without that info or pictures I’d guess between 20-30k.

I had bought 100 acres and I had got the tractor to maintain it. We are selling the land and so I don't have any use for that big of a tractor.

I recently sold through Facebook Marketplace a 2018 Kubota L4760, no cab, loader, or remotes for 70% of what I originally paid for it 5 years ago. 220 hours and very clean. The biggest issues selling was the lack of a FEL and financing. Plus not a lot of people buying compact tractors lately around here. (per Kubota dealer). Few folks have the cash as they want financing. My dealer suggested a selling price and offered to sell it for a $500 commission if needed.

I know, gotta have a loader. Not me. The buyer wanted a loader so I suggested he contact Kubota, which he did and they had one in stock. I considered it like any other attachment. All are happy, me, the buyer and Kubota who got to sell a loader.

Agreed. I think 10% is unrealistic. Like most buyers for 10% more I'll go new and get 0% finance. That's a smarter choice.

Truth. I’d never buy used for a 10% discount

Last year I bought a garage kept 2018 MX5200 with FEL and scraper box with 3 remotes with 147 hrs on it... Looked as new. I paid 30% less than new

10% is not enough incentive to forego finance, warranty, and dealer service relations in my humble opinion. You lose 30% on your new car when you drive it off the lot. Why should your tractor be any different?

Totally agree. Plus the added risk when buying used of getting a lemon or someone else’s problem. Probably 20% plus to entice me unless I know the seller well.

I bought used locally once I could talk with the seller for an hour over the tractor and assess his use and the condition of his shop and other equipment. I've been buying mostly used all my working life. HEck even my wife was married before.
You make your assessment and you take your chances.

Easy to sell someone else's tractor at a substantial loss.

OP, just list your tractor at $36K and then negotiate from there.
