Everything is made of steel. The small company example shows the huge inflationary impacts of the tariffs because it affects the auto industry, construction, heavy equipment, ect…

OK, then continue to vote for folks who punish American companies and pave a gold highway for foreign companies to end our ability to produce anything.

I specify no chinese made tires, braking parts or anything else, where possible, on all my equipment purchases and parts purchases. I realize there’s some places you can’t, but I do wherever I can.
I think there’s a lot of patriotic people who do same.

The domestic steel producers screwed up. When there was a 25% increase on imports, they could have kept their prices stable and increased domestic market share and manufacturing. Instead they went for the quick buck and also raised prices. The outcome was higher prices, but no more US steel production.

Why do you make such derogatory statements as this? That is such a rude and childish comment. I explained a better way to promote US manufacturing than creating inflation throughout our economy. And the tariffs didn’t even work to increase US steel production. Fact.
