As the increasing cost to build ICE vehicles accelerate their death spiral and the declining cost of EVS they will the go-to choice for personal transportation privately owned.
Man, you love that term don't you? ICE vehicles are hardly in a "death spiral".

We all should agree that wear is not because car is electric, but because that's performance car

It's a bit more complex that that, but yeah basic idea is like this.
Maybe getting to the next light as lead car when the pack is just cleared the last light is why my rear tires are wearing faster than the front set. Does anyone know if the permanent magnets give more Regen?

Since the subject of this thread is about EVs of today and tomorrow no need to confuse the reader. Do you not see/read about the glut of ICE vehicles on dealership lots today?

Keep your eye on the ICE death spiral. It's like when you pull the plug on the bathtub. The death spiral is not easy to see at first, but it's undeniable near the last half. As ICE prices increase due to sales declines while EV prices will continue to decline for the opposite reason. Have you heard Tony Seba speak on this factor?

Tesla dropped the cost at the expense of profit to try and increase sales. Now they cannot be dropped any lower, so your argument that increased sales will lower cost doesn't seem plausible. Tesla already dropped expected sales numbers for 2024, so lowering the price didn't seem to have the results Tesla wanted. And now Musk wants protection from Chinese EV sales. While the wheels haven't fallen off yet, maybe someone needs to check and see if the lug nuts are loose.

Elon Musk says Chinese EV companies will 'demolish' competition without tariffs

Tesla stock is getting hammered. When BYD starts building cars in Mexico, Tesla and the big 3 will have to hope for a miracle. The new generation of EV buyers are pragmatic, not fanatics.

Yes, that's why they will be lining up to buy the $25,000 Tesla model coming in a few years and is another reason to end the $7500 tax return.

If Tesla can deliver. And, if it can compete with a similarly priced BYD from Mexico. If there is a choice between a little hatchback from Tesla and a true 4 seater from BYD, a pragmatic person will choose the latter. Tesla and US manufacturing cannot compete without government intervention. Tesla is getting stomped in the current market by BYD… so Tesla builds a $25k car… And BYD does it for less, or offers more for the same price. Why can’t BYD just match or offer more than Tesla for the price? I mean, that’s what they are doing now, and being successful.

A more pragmatic person might post with a better understanding of Elon Musk thoughts and statements on the EV industry short and long term.
