I contacted them via email on the 16th. Was told they are working on getting parts together for the 60 inch grapples. I would have liked to have gotten an accurate ETA for my order, which I presume is not out of line in this sort of circumstance.

Being curious about others who might be in the same pipeline, I decided to ask here to see if anyone else has one of their 60 inch grapples on order and has gotten an ETA or perhaps an actual tracking number for one of these going out the door recently. If provided with their own order date, that might give me some idea about how much longer I need to wait for my unit.

Is that reasonable?
I am not quite sure what the problem you have calling.

Why come on here and cause havoc without just dialing the number and asking the source first?
🤔

Pissing them off cannot be good for your cause!

I think is reasonable but I would still call. Sometimes a phone call can help you understand or help them understand.

How is the simple question that he asked causing havoc? And who would get pissed off over a simple question?

I ordered mine in December and believe a March-ish date is the ETA for mine. I've also noticed they've had trouble with emails lately. If you log in to their website you should be able to see your order and I assume it would change from "processing" to "shipped".

He has multiple times come on here making a stink instead of simply calling and speaking to them.

Seems pretty simple to me

Asking questions on others experience is making a stink? Did I miss the part where he bad mouthed them or threatened to sue?

Yeah, the prepay requirement and long, imprecise wait time (always 3-4ish months) kept me from buying a grapple from them and purchasing from a different vendor. When I tried to buy a woodchipper from Woodmaxx it was out of stock and they put me on a list and would notify me when it was in stock with no money down. They then gave me a few days to decide if I wanted it or not. They would move on to the next name on the list if I decided not to buy. I bought it. Seems like a fair way to do business.

I've bought a grapple, box blade and pine needle rake from EA in the past 5 yrs. I knew up front about the long wait time and with EA's positive reputation I was not concerned that my order would not be fulfilled.
My thought was that I would rather wait 4-5 months on a well build attachment that will last my lifetime than risk a similar amount of money on another brand.
I do have a Land Pride 60" rotary cutter but bought that along with my tractor at time of purchase.

Rich, I just read your post and noticed your wife passed away back in November. My sincere condolences.

Just a heads up. People are saying EA is done for.

Yeah, I just got done watching this video on YouTube:

Makes a BIG old knot in the pit of my stomach to think I may have gotten screwed. I placed my order back in September for the 60 inch grapple. So that is nearly $3,500 I would be flushing down the toilet if they go away leaving outstanding orders flapping in the wind. To say I wouldn't be happy is a vast understatement. With their reputation for quality equipment, I TRUSTED them with my money by fully prepaying. Heck, I have been trying to talk a friend into ordering one too.

Anyway, hoping for the best, I guess......

Lots of smaller enterprises are going out of business due to high material costs and shipping costs. I quit selling my products over seas just because the ship cost exceeded the cost of the parts I make.

One one of the multiple outlet restaurant chains here closed up last Saturday with no prior notice and 100 employees lost their jobs. What is really bad is a lot of folks around here bought their gift vouchers for Christmas gifts and now they are worthless. Bang. gone and people aren't happy. Understandable. We like to support local business but that was a kick in the teeth. I ate there one time long ago. Just never tickled my fancy that much. The owner stated in the local paper that he could not secure financing so he closed it up, but with no prior notice and I suspect everyone that bought the gift vouchers are SOL.

The one thing I didn't like about them was, they wanted complete payment up front and that told me they have had a cash flow issue for a while. In my fabrication and welding business, I never would ask to be paid up front, I'd not be in business very long doing that and I deal with automotive a lot and you wait for your money, sometimes a long time. Same way with running hay. My customer pays me before the end of the year but not instantly and I can well weather that, but some business owners cannot.

Well, interestingly enough, I can still place an order from their webpage. Hopefully this is just a big misunderstanding and a tempest in a teapot.
Placing an order and receiving the goods are 2 distinctly different things as you should know.

Hopefully it is a misunderstanding, but I guess they can rake in some money until word spreads if it is true.

I hope you get your implement.

The rumors/news surrounding them cannot be helpful. How many folks are going to pay upfront now with all the smoke?
