... and get away with it because it is such a prices driven consumer economy. Which makes it even more disappointing regarding EA, they seemed to focus on quality and improving product not as much on price point.

For guys who make a living with their equipment, quality is paramount to price.
Both CID and Rut manufacturing are well known companies in the skid steer world for producing and selling quality ss attachments, seems that area is full of manufacturing.

Seeing that house is the first time during this thread that I've had a real problem with the EA situation. If he's taking peoples money, building that house and not delivering product? Yeah, that's a problem.

They had a big name and lots of people wanted their product along with the free shipping

It seemed to work for them for a while
Free shipping, at least for large items is out the window today with commercial ship rates what they are. Small stuff, maybe, but large, bulky and heavy items, no way and baking that cost into an item puts the price of the item out of competitive reach.

That said, here's another opinion for all of you who have equipment ordered and not received. If you haven't already called your card company and began a refund process, what are you waiting for?
Action speaks louder than words!

I hate when they say free shipping. It's not free. Might be included in the price, but somebody is paying for it.

Conspicuous Extravagance never plays well in front of the jury.

Pay ahead of time? Almost everything we buy you pay before you get possession of it. Groceries, cars, trucks, tractors. It’s just most of the time it’s there and you can see it.

Most things we buy are handoff transactions. Not send them money and hope on a wing and a prayer that they don't go belly up or get greedy. Looks like both things happened here.

Homestead builds one very similar to EA, hardox 450 etc. Made in US + offers a veteran discount and ”free” shipping It doesn’t have the EA/ TBN hype but it’s a nice grapple unit. We do use our equipment everyday the weather permits.

Look, I've tried to be as supportive as I can for you in your circumstances but all the crying, moaning, groaning and complaining here is not changing things for you. It is what it is. Time for you to man up and stop the pitty party.
Well let's make a deal then. Next time you think I need your help, please wait for me to ask you for it. Deal?

So I looked my digger up and down and it doesn't have a nameplate on it at all. I can't even verify that it is Chinese.
10-4 thanks anyhow , most of the ones that I am looking at around here at the auctions are 6-16 GPM and the low flow side of my skid steer is 17GPM and I'm afraid running one of those a hair over it's max all the time might be hard on it, I think they are JCT, Wolverine, and Agrotek, all of which I believe are Chinese.

Rich Z, you can get yourself a Rakemaster 54 c either single cylinder or double grapple from a local business (many dealers in north Florida carry them) Monday morning. They are made not far from you in Perry. Probably get one from the shop as well. They are every bit as good as a Wicked Grapple or Homestead grapple. Weigh a bit more, but you have the capacity on the T 474.

This appears to be where all the implement money went too:

Glass-and-Steel Lakehouse in North Carolina Lists for Nearly $5.5 Million
I agree with my wife it's an ugly house, looks more like an office building. I heard rumors on FB about how they had crews of workers from the factory working on the dock at this house and how it was built and rebuilt twice in one year.

This just keeps getting better and better or I should say worse and worse.
From an anonymous post.
"Let’s not forget the “Rock the Dock” party that used employees to rebuild and tear down the dock TWICE in the time of one year. I heard from an employee that one of their lead welders wasn’t at the shop for 6 months because he and other employees were working on the dock. On top of that they were also remodeling both of Teds houses"
It's still on the market.

I came close to buying from them a couple of times, but could not justify the cost of their stuff. Sucks to see people fleeced but if paid by credit card they should be ok.

Wife & I will never understood the charm in a mansion...and no, not "sour grapes" but what's the purpose? Apparently to try impressing people? We don't get it and never will. Imagine the mortgage payment on $6M?

I would hope that anyone buying a $6M mansion would pay cash.

That was just an example, but you go ahead and be bitter with all of us. We are the ones responsible for your decisions.
