I still burn coal as my "supplemental" heat it saves me several hundred gallons of oil every winter. With the coast per ton this past winter I didn't save near as much money as previous years. It is still less then oil but when the temperature is warm enough for my mini-splits to be economical for above 30F they actually pencil out less expensive then my coal. We do keep the inside temperature higher with the coal then the other heat sources.Yeah, no.
There’s ZERO coal mining in my area (SE PA)
Now NE PA, YES lots of coal mining.
And with the green freaks in charge, coal is finished and along with it a LOT more PA railroads.
