Here is a herd of new Tesla's grazing in a Florida pasture. If you buy one, you may get a free pet snake.

Tesla's 'sketchy' move with electric cars abandoned in overgrown field

I live right down the road from this. The local service center said this is a feeder for new 3s that are in inventory. They are running out of space on the N Florida avenue site in Tampa. They also said they use this for other sites, such as Orlando. It's mostly base and long range, but no performance. Just picked a performance up from the Florida Ave site last week

GM stored hundreds of trucks in a similar way near me in a field and fair grounds. I assume it’s a quick cheap way to store cars. The trucks were there for a few months. Heard they were missing a chip of some sort.

Parking cars in or near deep grass will almost guarantee mice or snakes taking house and chewing on electric wires especcially now that electrical wire insulation is more often than not made of plant based materials. I use moth balls taped to various parts of my vehicles after mice, ( and small garter snakes one vehicle) became obvious intruders. Anyone buying a Tesla from that lot is risking long term phantom electrical problems, very hard to trace.

My University purchased a fleet of EV's a couple of years ago. The director said it was of of the biggest financial mistake they have made. He said that they have had nothing but issues with battery replacements, short ranges in cold weather, etc. He said that nobody will even take one when they call to reserve a car now. They won't be purchasing any more...
What kind of toy EVs did they purchase that requires battery replacements short of the Federal 8 year/100,000 mile warranty?

So then the Corolla was the most sold car in the world... Was it the most superior in almost every metric? 🤔. I mean the best selling cars through the past five decades have been pretty average cars to be honest. That designation really doesn't equate to "superior".
One has to be deliberately blind to deny the best selling products are not somehow doing something right.

It also accomplished it without large government tax incentives direct to buyers. It would be interesting to know what the numbers would be like without the subsidy.
Tesla was thriving before Briben's "Inflation Reduction Act" restored Federal tax credits.

It’s a bit like saying bud light is better than a real beer because they sell more of it.
Bud Light was doing something right.

Turned out to be marketing. Then they turned around and did a spectacularly bad thing.

No you only need to worry about range issues... or..... .
Only ICEheads worry about that. Those who have EVs know better.

Will I have a place to charge if we visit them relatives .....,
Do they have a 120V AC outlet? Then yes.

Do you worry if they have a gasoline tank and dispenser? No. My Granddad did.

we best take the ICE truck if we are towing boat and 4 of us going ....and honey did you plug in the car .....and darn it another software download. .... so the 5 minutes every two weeks to stop at a gas station is no big deal, and transmisssion issues are very very rare and an oil change takes 15 minutes, heck you spend that searching for a place to charge when you plan an out of state trip. ... hmmmm
My latest F-150 oil change took just under 90 minutes with two engineers working on it.

Drain is in center at end of the engine.

4x4 is not high enough to get under without ramps.

Then there is a pan that has to be removed, (4) machine screws which are over 1" long so an electric ratchet, impact, or screwdriver is prudent.

Now the thing is high enough oil splashes everywhere unless the drain pain is raised. I found an old trailer tire works well for this task.

Then put everything away after.

My Prius oil changes were much faster. And the Subaru as well, once I put the Fumoto valve on it. The Subaru had a similar splashing problem when the large drain bolt was removed.

Oh, and BTW, note what a properly formatted reply looks like.

I agree. If I was an EV hater with absolutely no experience with EV's I would probably leave this thread and go off uneducated opinions in some other thread.
But you don't get it, the ICEheads are clearly superior to us misguided EV owners and are only trying to save us from ourselves!

You gotta do a better job of explaining the superiority without name calling.
Are you open minded enough to test drive a Tesla?

The driving experience is significantly superior. I've come to appreciate it more these past couple weeks making many 120, 150, and 210 mile days. And having said that, Tesla owner for 10.75 years.

When green isn't so green.
I80 shut down in both directions due to an electric Tesla big rig fire.
Cal Fire dropping fire retardant around truck as they wait for it to burn out.
Tesla engineers on site say it could burn for 12 to 16 hrs
Toxic fumes are a big problem. It's been burning for 14 hrs
The truck did not have a load, it's just the cab.
Golly, that never happens to ICE vehicles!

Decades ago I commuted from south of Birmingham, through Birmingham on I-65. A burned car on the side of the road was not uncommon. And since then I've seen many large scorch marks on highways and interstates where something burned before it got dragged off the road.

Most recent was a helicopter crash, but I doubt any of the other burn marks were as rare as an ICE powered helicopter crash.
