We get our power from a CO-OP that gets it's power from Xcel. There is no adjustment that is related to usage, just a "power cost adjustment that reflects the monthly fluctuation in the cost of wholesale power purchased from Xcel. That can either be a surcharge or a credit."
0.05 including distribution charges, transmission fees, purchased power cost adjustments, meter fees, etc. ? Our coop base rate is 0.090926 and by the time all is said and done it’s at 0.140876. Time of use metering is slightly different depending on summer/winter schedule

So EV owners happen to have electric companies that don’t charge any stepped tier transmission costs, or % adjustments , or % fees? (see my post above).🤔
Thanks DarkBlack you understand comparing all aspects fairly. The EV folks are cherry picking to exaggerate. Everything we use in our home that uses electricity is also dividing up its share of the monthly transmission fees, distribution fees etc that the electricity provider charges.

Extracted from my electric bill dated yesterday, 9/3/24.
The "Availability Charge" of $14.23 is fixed whether I use anything or not.

The actual kWh price varies with a fuel adjustment charge which is not listed. Has been under 9¢ earlier this year. Natural gas is hovering around a cheap $2/million BTU, so in coming months the kWh cost will go down.

They are "screwing me" on this bill by going 33 days, those extra 3 days were over the 1400 kWh/billing period so I paid a higher rate.

This billing period included 1694 miles in the Model Y. TeslaFi says approximately $59 on my electric bill plus $6.94 at a Supercharger stop. $0.0389/mile. That includes a fair bit of running the A/C to keep cabin temperature below 100°F when parked.

Read it and weep. Not everyone lives under a Progressive Left Utopian Totalitarian Regime.

Not a very technically accurate video to begin with. Just another YouTuber dude trying to make money, trying to sound like he has an unforeseen unfortunate angle on an existing proven technology
Yes, Yet Another Superstitious "Mechanic".

Not as entertaining as Scotty. Needs to wave his hands in the air more.

Ford EcoBoost 3.5L has more issues with valve phasers (the things used to implement variable valve timing) and ignition coils than turbochargers.

Speaking of fools…I’m curious… is it rectangular, or round shaped? Like a traditional thin crust, or deep dish?
Silly!

Everyone knows it is a triangle! Every planet is a slice of the pizza!

Their little mini ecoboost in some of the escapes and eco sport cars utilizes a belt to drive the oil pump. Sister in laws car cratered the engine at 90,000 miles.

It's been sitting at Ford for 6 months now waiting for a new engine. Might have it back sometime this month.

Fords supplying two engines for their car. The same motor that cratered for now. And then replacing it with an updated engine sometime in the next two years when one becomes available.

Yes speaking of the fool Trad.... he sent me another private message today to try to convince me the earth is flat, the funniest was that " water has never been shown to stick to a spinning ball" ......yet he thinks I am a fool to expect all electricty home costs( delivery, transmission , taxe etc ) be applied to the kwh rate they use to exaggerate about how much to charge a EV. ......I guess when he orders a pizza delivered to his house he doesnt include the delivery cost to get the pizza to his house when he splits the cost with his friends ( assuming he has friends) ;)
