I'm looking to purchase a bigger tractor for our boarding stables. It'll be mostly used for snow removal, manure clean up (huge piles of old hay in the pasture), dirt moving and basically that is it. The reason I am looking for bigger is that I need to make quick work of the cleaning up and snow removal. My Farmtrac 785dtc is not big enough to make quick work of all that and now that I have 2 properties, I do need a third tractor. Here are the 2 I am considering so far:

I don't know much about tym tractors but I believe the Kubota has the stronger loader.

Another one that caught my eye...

That 8160 is likely preemissions so that might be a bonus.

Kubota would be my pick.

TYM isn't something I'd gamble on personally.

That kubota is nice but it's very similar in size to my farmtrac and I worry it's not going to be heavy enough. Or it's heavy enough and my farmtrac just doesn't have the power to do what I need

Another NH I keep looking at

I was looking at a 2005 NH ts115A at my local dealer. They said the county uses them a lot for mowing and the gearboxes need replacing on them at 4,000-5,000 hours. It's a $40,000 job and the new gear box has the same problem, so it's also only going to last 4-5,000 hours also.

I don't know if the ts110 has the same issues, but it might be something you want to check into.

Also the cabs leak as evidenced by the water stains on the roof liner, if that matters to you.

I'll probably be passing on both of these at the moment. I may consider the Kubota if it is still there in a few weeks but I think I'll start considering 80hp and up tractors.

Can you consider AGCO/Massey Ferguson? They build a heavier duty tractor than Kubota. I’ve owned both brands over 100HP for 20 years and there’s no comparison. The Kubota will look better on paper, but paper is just trash at the end of the day. And trust me, I like Kubota and own (2) Kubota ZD-1211-72’s.

Here’s a side by side of 2 ~135HP tractors. One is Kubota and one is AGCO Challenger (same as Massey Ferguson).
The AGCO destroys the Kubota in literally every category. I ran both of these tractors side by side doing the same work for a couple years an I would take the AGCO 24/7/365.
Biggest difference favoring the AGCO is weight/stability, hydraulic power, loader strength, cab comfort and durability.
Again, I have nothing against Kubota. I would buy another.

Here is another that I was reading good things about.

I saw a Massey for sale down in Texas that I thought would work too.
