Kubota 2502H, HSI Pinnacle grapple, LP 48" forks, LP 60" BB, KK tiller 60", KK middle buster, Pat's QH
I spend a lot of time in my woods and often times I am out after dark. My Kubota only has the front and side LED's which don't offer the best light as the loader blocks most of it. Looking for ideas on what ya'll have done for lighting. I am getting ready to start fabricating a new grill guard once the metal arrives. Plan to start tackling the lighting around the same time.

On my 4105 ROPS, I've simply mounted a 6-LED lightbar underneath the top of the ROPS. I used a couple of cut-up "koozie' foam neoprene around the ROPS for anti-vibration and a couple of metal circular clamps to secure.

My tractor has one, dedicated, male/female bullet jack, behind the seat, which came hard wired to the light switch @ the fully ON position. You can ask your dealership if this is the case for your Kubota... I didn't know of this 'jack' until a mechanic pointed it out to me.

I ran the power to the lightbar along the ROPS simply using cable-ties (zip-ties?).

I used the factory bolt holes where the ROPS folds and picked up a couple LED cubes and put one in each. I actually cut my factory wire harness behind the stock headlights and ran the wire back to these ones. I have the work light wiring that is already at the rear of the tractor for the rear mounted LED cubes also.

I added (4) LED lights to ROPS on our tractor, (2) forward & (2) rear facing; & the only thing I regret is not having done it sooner. I wanted the lights to be to the inside the ROPS hoop so they would be less likely to be caught on something (branch, tree, etc.)

I was originally going to make brackets to mount the lights, but found some brackets fairly inexpensive & with a couple modifications, we have been happy with them. Also added (2) independent switches to control the front & rear lights separately.

I mounted mine on the side of my rops since I don’t always put mine up. I was able to tie it into the factory harness as they have a couple of unused plugs for adding lights. Mine are LED’s.

I have a steel canopy on my tractor and I mounted a foward facing light bar and a rear facing flood/spot light to the underside of the canopy.

Nice. I just ordered this one for my tractor. Used the lights last night and they illuminate the back of the loader bucket

You will like that mounted high. It’s very similar to the 8” light bar that I have. I also mounted a small rear facing light.

I had rear lights on my last tractor... I'm going to try to avoid working at night ;) but I may have to occasionally move it in low light.
Yesterday I hosed it off after 5 days of road work and let it sit out to dry... was about dark thirty when I remembered to put it in the barn.

Having the lights on the rops facing forwards will also light the operator station up. Personally, I would not want lights in my face blinding me if I turn to the side or rearward. Even having a bright light that shines in the corner of your eye can be a nuisance. I would lean toward mounting them on the front of the canopy or up front like some have done. The rear facing light is fine on the rops as you won't see the lens and be blinded.

My tractor had plastic turn signals stud mounted on the rops just above the fenders. After I broke the second one, I made 2 steel cubes about 4” to mount on the turn signal tabs and mounted a couple of 2” led clearance lights on the forward and rearward sides for signals. I then mounted 2 led work lights forward and rearward on each side. I find they are perfect for lighting the work area.

Edit. Found a picture

The only time I do work in the dark is when I need to plow snow to get out early in the morning. But obviously that’s not an issue where you live.

Snow plowing is also usually when I use lights as well.

Sounds like fun...freezing cold and dark.
No thanks. I grew up in that, this is my 46th warm winter.
There is no going back.;)

I have my lights about eye level while sitting on the tractor. It’s true they are kind of annoying and can be blinding. I don’t feel I have a better place to mount mine so just learned to deal with it.

I could not afford to buy what I have where you live. 😬

To be honest, I could not afford to buy what I have at today's prices either.
I have been working for and acquiring what we have for nearly half a century here.
I came with a few tools and a trade. No diplomas. No family funding. I always had a side hustle buying and fixing things.
Just work and save.

Just out of curiosity, what would my 20 acres, 3000 square foot house (including basement) and 2400 square foot metal barn and well cost in your location?
