Can’t Sell My Bushhog

I haven't read through all the posts here, but there is a Kubota dealer near me that had about 15-20 6' bush hogs. It has taken over two years and he just started to sell some the past couple of months. He must have dropped the price.
You asked if we had any ideas then mock the idea that is most often suggested. You're obliviously not serious about selling this thing.

I suspected you were in denial that's why I said the hard truth. Good luck.

I just paid $200 for a 48 inch walk behind. ;-) Runs great, and has new belts on it.
The 54 inch walk behind is getting rusty, so I wanted a replacement before one of the castors fell off ;-)

A 48 inch mower behind a tractor seems like a small market. Unless it were a finish mower/

A 48" bush hog is just right for an 8N Ford, here in the mountains.

I've dabbled in flail mower the last couple of year, after a catastrophic $$$ year on repairs on my mowing using a ditch bank flail mower. I ditched flail mowers all together, they are too slow and sucks a lot of HP. I got this Landpride RCR 2672 for $500 earlier this summer and it will be my main machine. So far it has worked GREAT, real HD rotary cutter and much more efficient of acres/hour for me than a flail.

I’ve been trying to sell my 48 inch rotary cutter in suburban NJ. It’s been on Craigslist and Marketplace for 6 months, not even a bite

It was too large for my x730 (shocker)

Any ideas? My dealer won’t take it.

Thanks all.
In selling on line presentation is everything. I see so many guys trying to sell big equipment and show pictures of it sitting in the weeds with dirt on it. Take the time to drag it out of the weeds, wash it off, pick up any junk and trash around it, and take show it the best you can before you take pictures. Believe me, it makes a huge difference.
Good luck.

How many horsepower does it need?

General rule is 5hp per foot for proper performance. A 4 footer could be run on about a 20hp. A bit less would work on regularly cut areas that are primarily grass and weeds without any established woody stuff. A generic 4ft model is probably only rated for 1" max anyway. You're not clearing heavy growth with it even with a bigger tractor.

Ever hear that song by George Thorogood...It Wasn't Me.
Similar name.... "well you must have met some other body, no, no, it wasn't me"

I needed a kick I the ass guys, lowered the price, and got a bite! It sounded obvious but I needed to be talked into it.

Here are some photos.
