He refused to debate it and was still able to type out the whole list at the same time. That's talentThat would be a very short list.

You have completely taken my point out on a tangent and hijacked the original thought. My point was that much of Europe has health care and retirement policies that the U.S. would consider as liberal ideas. Nothing more. Don’t start out creating a tangent discussion. He refused to debate it and was still able to type out the whole list at the same time. That's talent
Not in mine and glad of that.California has always been more expensive even back when Reagan was governor. It’s just in its own economic category.
What are you talking about? I have not posted one comment about orange man in this thread other than to discuss the issues of trade and tariffs. Policy not ridiculous ad hominem insults like many. Look at the garbage you posted. It’s not policy or issues.Just giving you a compliment. Take it how you want. I totally understand that you and the rest are suffering from horrible TDS. Orange man bad. Blabbering idiots that can't string 2 words together, other than "but trump", good. Got it.
Why do you apparently think l judge what ppl regard as success?I homesteaded 12 acres of raw woodland....it was hard work physically and also took a great deal of "diligence" Property that was built from the ground up by me and my family.. Probably not your "vision" of success. If "socially minded" is about power and influence in a society then I'm not there. Never been on welfare and i don't want to give away what I have earned either...but I'm required to dole out my low end "contribution" to society regardless.

We are a services based nation and captalist economy. The world is changing…
After WWII America alone had more wealth than the rest of the world.
Fast forward and the world is energy dependent and the underlying motive is often tied to oil…
Globalism let’s any nation trade with any other in simple terms…
The American Navy is really the only Blue Water Navy of size in the world and the defacto policeman of the world.
Americans I feel are tired of this and what may be coming is regionalism… North America for us.
For this to work America has to rebuild its industrial base…
We have gone decades with out much happening and now it appears we are at the end of that long cycle.
Tariffs are part of that reset…
Japan saw this coming and opted to go to its customer base building factories both to build a beach head and also to minimize their own population decline.
I don’t see the same for China and Russia… unless they trade to each other…
We are a services based nation and captalist economy.
If manufacturing returns it will be highly automated employing highly skilled people. An outlying factor is returning the supply chain. That is certainly not changing any time soon. Tariffs or not.
I lived in the states for 65 years, I have lived here for 4 years, I can tell you the government here in Portugal actually cares about the people, maybe liberal ideas, but the people here lived under a dictatorship until the carnation revolution in 1974 (worth looking into) I don't know that one can speculate on something they have not experinced. You have completely taken my point out on a tangent and hijacked the original thought.
