First time trying that for me, and I've had near 70 winters with snow.

I am impressed!
3 inches of fluff that started small. Temps today got up around 30.

Question is, where does the snow go?
;-)

I've heard that it's especially a great tool to clean the snow off your car.
Having a garage is a better way though...

Yep; a leaf blower works wonders with light snow, heavy-wet snow not so much.
Best part, it requires no more energy than blowing leaves away.

The new higher voltage blower models now work better than brooms in my machinery shed. The lithium battery powered ones are lighter than the toy versions. But, for snow, I've moved away from an 8' plow to a front mounted broom on my JD1435 front mower. 6" no problem. Slush no problem. Ice accumulation from tire tracks: no problem. Never a blower again, too, even my front mounted one. Took WAY to long.

I'm officially retired from snow removal.

If we get a blast, I'll be inside toasting my feet in front of the stove.
I can't say I find that desirable.

I enjoy winter. every part about it!
The cold fresh air, the starkness of a black and white world, the late sunrise, the early sun set. The birds at the feeder. The stream of snow flowing out of the blower chute, the curl of snow and the sound of steel against frozen stone beneath the plow. Even the inconvenience of sliding off the road at times brings significance to life. Winter is filled with the punctuation that makes clear the expressions of life's vocabulary.

I wouldn't trade for anything!

(And I have lived in both S.Florida and Santa Barbara California, so know of winters without snow. )

At 76. the only wintertime activity I enjoy is sitting in the blind and being warm and toasty, waiting for my meat to come within range.

"Where does the snow go?"
Maybe the answer is still up in the air!

I have used a blower to move the dry fluffy stuff too, Just seems to disappear. But we know its there, just more dense than it was before we blew it off the drive. So it takes up less space?

I haven't had to deal with snow in over five years. We can get up to 3 or 4 inches - it will all be melted in a couple days. Except in the shaded areas.

It's a fact. Every winter for the last eight years has been progressively warmer. Pretty soon I can replace the apple trees with bananas.
