Anyone buy a harness/leash for walking their cat? Any success in using it? I did, and tried it on the kitty. He could just back right out of it, even when tightened. I guess their shoulders are not directly connected to their spine, so they can wiggle out of just about anything. Good thing it wasn't expensive.
Most cats have to be trained to the leash/harness as kittens.

A good friend used a simple ribbon. I want to say as a figure 8, or as a suitcase handle, sort of both. The ribbon was tied in a loop, cat's front legs through the loop then she lifted the sides and clipped them together with the clasp of the leash. Cat was trained this way as a kitten and knew she was taking her human for a walk.

Wondering where the presents are.

We had a Russian Blue male that would walk for miles wherever we went. Topper is a "Swiffer", just flops over letting you pull him around. Cats, like people, are all different.

Many years ago we got a kitten and I trained him like a dog. So he'd walk on a leash with just his collar. Of course, if he wanted to, he could have just backed out of it.

Kinda funny to walk into a vet's office with a Cairn Terrier on one leash and an orange cat on another. Any dogs in the waiting room would go nuts at the cat, but the cat would just hop up on the bench and look around like "What's all the excitement about dudes?" :ROFLMAO:

Our new family member, Amina.
My wife was talking about a cat for ages :) Finally, we have this cutie. We still need to learn how to take care of her properly. We had an old cat, Molly, before (unfortunately, she passed away). She required other food and meds and we usually got Revolution for cats without vet prescription for her (I'm not sure it is ok for such small cats like Amina). And now we have a kitten again who needs completely another approach. But we are happy she is with us!

There's two cats in this pic:
IMG_1075.jpg

The visible cat Max was a rescue from the feral cat colony at my mom's old place. He was one of two that were small enough that I could grab them. He's 14 now. He greets me at the door when I come home and "helps" me unlace my shoes. His favorite thing is hanging out on the couch next to me. He likes my wife and the other cat too, he's a friendly guy.

The invisible void cat next to Max is Minna. She's from a cat shelter. She's also friendly but her favorite activities are sleeping and eating.
