Good luck with it and watch out for vandals. What do you have for home charging?
I have a connection to the Southern CA Edison company.
220v outlets in the garage and the barn. I don't see a problem with vandals where I live and where I go.
EV cars are about as popular as a Honda Civic here.

I bought a used Tesla model Y from Tesla Car Company last night. I want to support Elon. I've bought starlink for years ... very happy with that.
This is our first electric car. Used Model Y prices are down. Liberals are dumping the cars and a new model Y is debuting. There is a $4k tax credit on used EVs too. This should be fun.
I'm pretty excited about this
That is good news. The last few weeks has confused a lot of people, but it is a great opportunity for people to pick up the best selling car world wide. The lack of used Tesla's has slowed the move to EVS for many.

There are over 15,000 used Teslas for sale on Autotrader right now.

Welcome to the 21st century and to a truly American made car! ;)
It took me a few months with the Y to realize that I couldn't go back to an ICE vehicle. You will love the Y.
There is an income limit to the $4k tax credit which is lower than the income limit for the $7,500 tax credit on new EV's.
I encourage any American patriot to buy a Tesla.

YEs, liberals don't want to be seen supporting Elon. It's a buyers market. The high cost of entry has kept me away, but this change of heart changed the cost of ownership. Note you have to buy a one owner car from a dealer to qualify for the $4k used car Tax credit rebate

I'm considering buying a used one as well but just for a third vehicle, No issue with charging here either as the shop not only has 300 amps of 220 as well as 440 available plus I instructed my stock broker to purchase a couple hundred shares of Tesla stock in as much as the PPS is down around 50% from what it was so presently it's a hard to lose on stock and I'm sure it will rebound once the idiots are prosecuted and incarcerated.

Nothing to do with patriotism at all, just common sense (stock) and the vehicle won't be a daily driver anyway, my (removed) Focus is my daily driver.

I'll pay cash for the Tesla just like we do for any vehicle. I operate under the principle of 'Cash is King and no romance with finance'

Been spending a bit of money lately. I have a 50AE Desert Eagle coming as well. Hard to get and non existent around here so I purchased from Guns.com and am having it FFL transferred to my local gun shop. I enjoy big bore handguns (and rifles) as well. I'll be handloading for it as usual.

That and a Green Machine hydraulic thumb for one of my Kubota buckets. It's in transit as well.

Spring is right around the corner and I might as well spend it because I have it. I'll have to do some fabrication and welding to attach the hydraulic thumb to the bucket however and buy hydraulic hoses to operate it. Already have the 3rd function installed on one tractor that I use to angle the snowplow I didn't even use this winter.

Once the reconciliation package passes the house and senate in September, not only will my SS stipend increase as well as the no tax on tips will also bet codified and because of what transpired with the interim finding bill that passed a little while ago, the reconciliation bill don't even need any democrats to vote for it as the republicans can pass and codify it by themselves.

I'm sure the dems will cry bloody murder but the repubs pulled a very smart move with the interim funding bill that passed muster thanks to Schumer...

That makes them a real bargain right now. The gas savings will add up quicker. I saw Tesla was selling demo (100-500) mile Model Y Performance for $37K in the last week. That is a quite the savings over a few years ago.

scootr I think you will really like the versatility of the Y and just how competent it is.

Congrats on the Y purchase.

ps. I am also concerned about vandals, we are taking the Y to Canada for a short vacation around June. Hoping no one screws with the car.

You got it... I'm going the same route. My issue is, I have to buy it out of state in as much as Michigan don't allow Tesla's to be sold here retail. There is some state law that prohibits it. No issue however as there is a Tesla dealer about 20 miles south of me in Toledo, Ohio.

Wife will probably use it for local errands and grocery shopping. Especially in the winter because Tesla's have instant heat unlike her Burb or my Focus and she won't have to start the Burb remotely and wait 15 minutes for the engine to warm up enough to produce cabin heat. Nothing worse than getting in a ice cold vehicle with leather seats (which are really cold) on a frigid winter day. Even with heated seats it's a real wake up call.

If I can find a used Plaid, that will be my first choice. The Plaid is a rocket ship, not that they aren't all fast but the Plaid is the screamer.
