It was a pretty nice day here today to get some things around here done, and I made a little money today too,

It's always nice to make a few easy bucks!

^^^^ I played with my dozer yesterday. Must be something in the air.

Over the years the frost has pushed up a large rock in our road/driveway.

Yesterday was the day to remove it. I used my 1990 70 hp TD7G to push it out and off the road. It set my camera out and made a video.

After getting the rock out I recovered the displaced gravel and used it to fill the crater best I could. I packed it as I went with the tracks then smoothed off the area and packed it some more.

Here is the video. I work slow and easy.

Then i raked a yard of new gravel off the one-ton and packed it with the truck.

Bravo! What a fine looking dozer and drive repair. Who needs Hollywood, I could watch this all night!

My seat time yesterday, was loading logs onto my BSM and hauling slab wood away from it. I have a few old logs that should have been milled long time ago, so I loaded one of them on the BSM,

This one is a pretty nice cherry, and it did turn out some decent lumber even with the split ends that I probably should have sawn off,

I set the first side lumber aside to be "edged" later, the slab wood gets cut to length and goes into my firewood boxes,

And here's those boards getting edged,

After that, it's rinse and repeat, for the next log.

2520 moved some concrete mix for a small job, then performed a funerary escort for a hapless deer which had been hit by a car and expired in our front yard.

Was happy to have the 42" pallet forks...the more distance between me and that thing, the better.

^^^ Last fall I was returning home from a morning fishing in a friend's truck. The car in front of us was from Canada and we saw it hit a deer, a button buck, that suddenly ran across the road. The woman was all upset. We told her no problem, we would take care of it. I dragged it off the road while my friend called fish and game to report the situation and get permission to keep the deer. We threw it in his truck. He said it was good eating, hardly any blood shot meat just heavy organ damage.

The buzzards had already started tenderizing this beast even though it was only hit the night before, so I didn't want to waste any time gettting it out of there.
