Is this counterfeit money?

I just received this letter in the mail asking me to be part of a survey and 2 one dollar bills were enclosed as incentive, but they are both alike with the same serial numbers. I thought all money had different serial numbers. Could it be counterfeit?

On a related note, some people don't appreciate it when you tell them that you know the bill is good because you printed it this morning.

I can’t imagine you could print a good fake cheaper than $1. So I seriously doubt they are fake.

I wasn't expecting that. Since they were new bills, I thought they would be in consecutive order with the last number different but I guess the feds number them a different way to trap up the counterfeiters.

And here I was, thinking they may be a government misprint worth thousands of dollars.
